Big Shots Virginia Live had a ton of talent on display in the 2023 class. Here’s a look at the Day 1 16U Standouts.


Robby Matos Robby Matos 5'9" | PG Blue Ridge School | 2023 State VA | 5’10 Guard | Team Marsh (Virginia Episcopal)

Matos is an electric combo guard with a ton of potential scoring and making plays for others. He finished with 21 points, 15 in the second half to lead the offensive attack as Team Marsh won things going away. He showed off his ability to get by defenders and get to the rim.

Jessie Mitchell Jessie Mitchell 6'4" | SG Grace Christian (Sanford) | 2023 State NC | 6’4 Shooting Guard | Strong Center 2023 (Grace Christian)

Mitchell picked up where he left off this past weekend in Rock Hill with his ability to shoot the ball. His shooting stroke was on full display as he knocked down four 3-pointers including three back-to-back to open the second half of play while knocking down 22 points to finish atop the 16U Orange Division for the day. He’s a shooter that continues to impress in NC’s 2023 class.
