Winterset High School is hosting 31 teams from around the state on Friday and Saturday for some top-notch summer competition. Below are some of the standout performers from the 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm time slot on Friday in Husky Gym.


2022 PF Kale Krogh Kale Krogh 6'6" | C Ballard | 2022 State IA (Ballard)

Krogh recently committed to play offensive line at Iowa, and it’s easy to see what Kirk Ferentz loves about this kid - he’s big, physical, agile, and has excellent hands. If he wasn’t such a good offensive line prospect, he could’ve been a solid Division II basketball player. He does a great job carving out post position, and has the strength to seal off anyone at this level. He has soft hands and pulls down anything that comes near him, and he has great touch around the rim. Where he really shines, however, is on the defensive end of the floor. He can defend the pick-and-roll effectively and is a great rim protector who rarely needs to leave his feet to block or contest shots, which helps keep him out of foul trouble.
