Derrick Antoine (2021 Columbia Christian)
Antonie was a late addition to the team so he wasn’t even correctly listed on the online roster or the scorebook. But the 6-foot-4 forward came off the bench and made an immediate contribution. He’s blessed with a strong body which allows him to absorb contact on his hard drives to the basket. He played physical on defense and also helped out on the boards. Antoine could be a steal for an NWAC program looking to add a hustle guy.
Curtis Lee (2021 Milwaukie)
Lee is a long and athletic swingman who constantly looked to attack the basket on the offensive end. He is admittedly a bit raw but really played with a lot of energy on both ends. Chemeketa head coach David Abderhalden and assistant Pat Adelman were on hand to watch him perform.
Alexander Clement (2022 Westview)
We really didn’t know too much about Clement going into last Tuesday’s game against Jefferson, partially because and he wasn’t playing earlier in the year due to injury. But we immediately noticed the 6-foot-7 junior has a strong physique that he isn’t afraid to use in the paint. Clement posted up with confidence and flashed a nice touch from mid-range.
Carson Reno Carson Reno 5'10" | PG Lake Oswego | 2022 State OR (2022 Lake Oswego)
Reno is no doubt a guard that likes to play at a high speed and push the tempo. He was a jet in the open floor when in the game for the Lakers. When he wasn’t attacking the basket against Canby, he was showing off a pretty nice looking stroke from the perimeter out past three-point range.
Camden Fowler (2022 Oregon City)
We had gotten some intel that the “big kid at Oregon City” was one to watch out for, so we went into the Pioneers game against Milwaukie ready to be impressed. Check that as a positive as we liked the 6-foot-6 junior’s hands, post moves, and soft touch around the hoop. While Fowler didn’t attempt any long perimeter shots, the word is that he’s capable of doing so.
