Bach Baleke (2021 Roosevelt)
You’re not going to get much offense from Baleke. But what you will get from the unsigned senior are tough screens, rebounding, and some stout positional defense. The 6-foot-5 senior is an underrated interior passer too.
Kellen Hale (2022 Tualatin)
Hale’s collegiate future is likely on the football field but he’s more than capable as a high school basketball player too. He’s not afraid of contact in the paint and can face up and hit jumpers too.
Jake Hergert (2022 Westside Christian)
Hergert is a smooth athlete with a soft touch on his outside shot, which extends past the three-point line. He’ll need to put on some muscle onto his lean frame but at 6-foot-5, he’s got good size for a wing.
Garrett Callsen (2023 Stayton)
Callsen was probably our find for the week. The 6-foot-6 sophomore wasn’t afraid of mixing it up with Wilsonville’s big guys and showed off some nice footwork on his post moves and a decent touch from the outside.
Kaden Harris (2023 Milwaukie)
Harris showed some moxie against Jefferson, knocking down open shots and also helping out handling ball pressure. The 6-foot junior was especially good on catch and shoot opportunities.
Jah Allah Van (2023 De La Salle North)
Van is an extremely quick and slippery point guard who can not only get into the paint, but also finish around the hoop in creative ways. He has a pretty smooth pull-up jumper as well.
Maxim Wu (2023 Wilsonville)
We were extremely impressed with Wu’s intelligence at point guard. He always seems to make the right play, get the ball to the open man, and hit the open shot. Wu also showed incredible on-the-ball defense on Stayton’s sharpshooter, Jacob Axmaker Jacob Axmaker 6'0" | CG Stayton | 2022 State OR , limiting his three-point opportunities.
TJ Latu TJ Latu 6'3" | CG Jefferson | 2024 State OR (2024 De La Salle North)
Only a freshman, Latu has a mature body that helps him finish through contact in the lane. The lefty has a pretty nice looking stroke on his jumper and has a fairly solid handle.
