#5 Devin Ceaser Devin Ceaser 6'1" | CG St. Stephen's & St. Agnes | 2022 State VA | 6’1” | St. Stephen’s St. Agnes (#13 Overall)
Ceaser saw his stock increase immensely these past two weekends at DMV Live as he picked up close to double digit offers, his most recent coming from Virginia Tech, and has more high majors seriously looking at him and will continue to follow him in July. Speed kills, and there’s no one faster than Ceaser both with the ball in his hands and when he runs in transition or on the defensive end where he can shoot passing lanes and has great lateral quickness. He brings it and competes on both ends of the floor, he’s a one man fast break that can take an inbound and go coast to coast and beat everyone down the court and he can get hot and score it in bunches when he gets it going.
#4 Paul Lewis Paul Lewis 6'1" | PG Bishop O'Connell | 2022 State VA | 6’1” | Bishop O’Connell (#12 Overall)
Lewis recently decommited from Maryland and he’ll become a very hot target for coaches looking for a PG that is a dual threat to both score the basketball and make plays for others as well. Lewis has the killer instinct and the game to go with it, as he’s shifty off the bounce and can create space, has excellent range off the bounce and is a strong and acrobatic finisher when he gets downhill and gets to the rim. He plays with a chip and will go at anyone put in front of him, he has a good feel for the game and he’s able to make tough shots from multiple levels.
#3 Kanye Clary Kanye Clary 5'11" | PG Massanutten | 2022 State VA | 5’11” | Massanutten (#11 Overall)
Clary recently committed to Penn State taking him off the board on an official visit, and he is another in a long list of VA and DMV players that will head to State College to play for the Nittany Lions. In his first year at Massanutten after his two seasons at Princess Anne, Clary led the team in scoring and assists playing a post graduate schedule of kids older than him, and the shift and speed he has off the bounce makes him extremely tough for anyone to guard. He’s improved his ability to make shots from deep and the midrange level, he’s a crafty finisher with an array of moves and floaters to negate his size and he is excellent in pick-and-roll situations.
#2 Jayden Epps | 6’1” | King’s Fork (#4 Overall)
This will be the last VA rankings that Epps is in after announcing that he will transfer to Combine Academy in North Carolina for his final season, and he’ll likely jump to the top area of the Prep Hoops NC rankings because of it. Epps is a lethal scoring guard that can fill it up in bunches and from anywhere on the floor, he’s strong off the bounce and can take contact when getting downhill and he has a knack for finding ways to score in traffic despite not being the biggest or most explosive guy. He has elite range off the catch and off the bounce and can make shots well beyond NBA range, he gets hot very quickly and can take over games with his scoring ability and he’s a competitor that loves matching up with good competition and will bring it on both ends of the floor.
#1 Knasir McDaniel Knasir McDaniel 5'9" | PG Paul VI Cathlolic (VA) | 2022 State #126 Nation VA | 5’9” | Paul VI (#3 Overall)
“Dug” as he’s known by friends and teammates moves to the top of this list after moving up five spots due to his play this spring, and he’s recently committed to Michigan as the Wolverines have done a great job recruiting the DMV area over the past two years. McDaniel isn’t the biggest guy but he’s a pure dog that loves to compete and brings it every time he’s on the floor, he’s one of the fastest guards around and has a lightning quick first step off the bounce and he has great feel and playmaking ability when he’s able to get in the lane. He’s improved in his ability to score it from multiple levels as he’s shooting it much better and has the total floater and layup package to negate his size, he’s a natural leader who people gravitate towards and he’s a tone setter on both ends and is a pesky on ball defender that can guard 94 feet.
