This high-level setting was designed to evaluate and provide exposure to under-the-radar prospects. All games were live-streamed and included official stats. The tournament featured several outstanding shooters. In this article, we take a look at the top Snipers from the event.
Jamison McCall Jamison McCall 6'0" | CG Spring Valley | 2024 State NV 5’11 PG Chosen Few 2024 (#12PHN 2024) – McCall got the Platinum Championship game off right, with two quick 3’s. It should come as no surprise, as the 5’11 Sophomore was one of the top floor spacing point guards in the tournament. He was accurate from the corners and the wing, displaying good form and a consistent release.
Kekoa Beard Kekoa Beard 6'4" | CG Ben Lomond | 2022 State UT 6’2 CG Utah Sharks 2022 (#51PHU 2022) – Beard did more than just hit 3’s he showed a good pull-up game, getting to about 15 feet before knocking down jumpers. That isn’t to say, he wasn’t making his share of 3’s. He had a stretch in the quarterfinal game, where he buried 4 3’s en route to a personal 14 point run.
Jake Bevacqua Jake Bevacqua 5'10" | PG The Meadows School | 2023 State NV 5’10 PG Chosen Few 2023 (#21PHN 2023) (featured image) – I’ve raved all week about how glad I was to see Bevacqua healthy. I lot of that had to do with the fact, that I love watching him shoot the ball. He showed confidence shooting the 3, putting on a 4 1st half 3 pointer display in the quarterfinals of the Gold bracket.
Collin Palluck 6’0 SG Faith Lutheran 2022 – I have no clue how many 3’s Palluck made over the course of the weekend, but he made this one to win the game, and that’s enough to get him on the list.
Easton Taylor 6’4 SG Uintah 2022 – Taylor was a sharpshooter all weekend. He hit both midrange and 3’s alike. Perhaps his best performance, was his 3 three-point performance against DIG, in a game where his team only scored a total of 33 points.
Gavin Ramsey 5’11 SG Miners 2023 – The lefty was one of the top players for the MIners. Thanks to his stroke, he had multiple double-digit performances. His best was his 4 3 point game against Uinitah.
Leyton Barr Leyton Barr 5'10" | SG Faith Lutheran | 2023 State NV 6’0 SG Faith Lutheran 2023 (#22PHN 2023) – Barr could be considered a sleeper, but he is also a shooter. The Sniper for Faith buried several 3’s throughout the weekend, showing he could do it in catch and shoot and off screens.
