Territorial Classic: Storylines
How Far Can Tavionte Jackson Tavionte Jackson 6'1" | PG Las Vegas | 2022 NV take the Wildcats?
Las Vegas H.S rolls into Utah, with the #2 ranked player in the Prep Hoops Nevada Ranking. One of the questions I was asked most at the All -American camp this past weekend was “Where is Taviontae Jackson”? He’ll be in St George, this weekend, looking to bring home the trophy for Las Vegas. He and teammate TJ Brown TJ Brown 5'10" | CG Las Vegas | 2023 NV form one of the top Backcourts in the tournament. The slick PG has been one of the top players on the Prephoops circuit, now he switches gears and prepares to lead Las Vegas to a deep tournament run.
How will the duo of Nate Simon and Christian Wilson perform?
Simon and Wilson are one of my favorite 1-2 punches on the Hustle Region Circuit. Now they step into the pressure-packed environment of tournament play. Simons is a certified bucket, that has proven he can score at will. Wilson brings a whole lot of size and some nimble feet. The two will take the floor for D1 So Cal this weekend. The team which features several high academic prospects will certainly benefit from the added depth and size.
Can anyone Beat Chosen Few?
Chosen Few will be representing Spring Valley High School this weekend. They are currently the #1 team in our 16U Hustle Region, power rankings, and this week will have their full arsenal. If it’s not Alijah Adem Alijah Adem 6'2" | PG Spring Valley | 2024 State #174 Nation NV , dissecting you, it’s Pharaoh Compton Pharaoh Compton 6'7" | PF Arbor View | 2024 State #74 Nation NV or Desean Moreno Desean Moreno 6'4" | PF Spring Valley | 2022 State NV doing more rim chin-ups than a CrossFit contestant. If all else fails, Jordon Cosby Jordon Cosby 5'9" | CG Spring Valley | 2024 State NV or Jamison McCall Jamison McCall 6'0" | CG Spring Valley | 2024 State NV will light you up from behind the arc. All this team does is win, it will be interesting to see in a single-elimination format, if anyone in the tournament, we’ll be able to knock off this battle-tested squad.

The Pool of Death Will Be?
While this is a soccer term, it seems appropriate here. All of the pools are pretty much even, however, Pool A which contains Las Vegas, Uintah, Centennial, and Mojave, gets the nod. LV has perhaps the top backcourt, in Jackson, and Brown. Uintah returns several players from a 15-win season including sharpshooter Joshua Speirs. Centennial plays an intense, 94 feet, pressure style, and Mojave is one of the deepest teams at the event led by Giali Chapman Giali Chapman 6'3" | CG Mojave | 2023 State NV and TJ McTyer TJ McTyer 5'9" | PG Mojave | 2023 State NV . Vegas opens up with Uintah, while Centennial and Mojave clash in what should be a track meet on Saturday. After those initial contests, each team will get a shot at each other and there is no clear favorite.
