The purpose of this event is to provide a high-level setting to evaluate and provide exposure to under-the-radar prospects. All games will be live-streamed on the 7outz Channel, games will include official stats, and all players will have the opportunity to record official measurements, including heights, wingspan, and vertical jump. The new Prephoops rankings come out in less than two weeks. In this article, we highlight the ranked players competing in this event.
Kekoa Beard Kekoa Beard 6'4" | CG Ben Lomond | 2022 State UT 6’2 CG Utah Sharks 2022 (#43PHU 2023) – Beard averaged over 15ppg for Ben Lomond last season. The combo guard is a versatile defender, and one of the better rebounding players at his position. Beard is also a high academic performer with a 3.8 GPA. Currently, as per his coach, he is looking at some D2, NAIA’s and HBCU’s.
Jamison McCall Jamison McCall 6'0" | CG Spring Valley | 2024 State NV 5’11 CG Chosen Few 2024 (#12PHN 2024) – Got an opportunity to check out McCall a few weeks back. Fun watching him make the transition into a pure PG. Currently, his best strength is his shooting, however, he’s shown glimpses of floor generalship. In a setting where time, situation, and space will be crucial, McCall’s decision-making and shooting will be key for Chosen Few to take home the title.
Jack Silberman Jack Silberman 6'4" | SF Faith Lutheran | 2022 State NV 6’2 SG Faith Lutheran 2022 (#51PHN 2022) – One of the storylines for this event will be who will step up and replace the production for Faith. Most schools can’t easily replace two D1 players, that will be the task for Faith. Silberman may be the leading candidate. The sharpshooter has shown that he can lift defenders, put the ball on the ground and finish for himself. He’ll have to come up big this weekend if Faith is going to advance.
Jimar Mitchell Jimar Mitchell 5'11" | SG Rancho | 2022 State NV 5’11 CG Hard Work Dedication 2022 (#35PHN 2022) (featured image) – Mitchell has been playing well on the Prep Hoops Circuit. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to catch as much of him as I would like. I’ll have a front-row seat to his game this weekend. HWD will need him to continue his high level of play if they are to advance in the tournament.
TJ Brown TJ Brown 5'10" | CG Las Vegas | 2023 NV 5’11 CG Las Vegas 2022 (#6PHN 2022) – It’s been a while since I saw Brown Play. Last time he left an impression on me with his ability to get paint touches and defend his position. He will be teaming with all-world backcourt mate Tavionte Jackson Tavionte Jackson 6'1" | PG Las Vegas | 2022 NV , I’m excited to see how they gel with one another in this environment.
