The purpose of this event is to provide a high-level setting to evaluate and provide exposure to under-the-radar prospects. All games will be live-streamed on the 7outz Channel, games will include official stats, and all players will have the opportunity to record official measurements, including heights, wingspan, and vertical jump. With the new rankings only a few weeks away, a solid performance at this event, could skyrocket players up the charts. In this article, we take a look at some potential Stockrisers competing in the Territorial Classic.
Jordon Cosby Jordon Cosby 5'9" | CG Spring Valley | 2024 State NV 6’0 PG Chosen Few 2024 (#29PHN 2024) (featured image) – Cosby may have been ranked too low from the start. His shooting translates, and it translates even better to high-pressure games. Expect quite a few of them this weekend. The floor spacing PG is one of the top shooters in the state, now can he make them in this environment? If Cosby helps a Red Hot Chosen Few squad take home this title, expect his rankings to rise.
Ryan Hannig Ryan Hannig 5'10" | CG Lincoln Co | 2023 State NV 5’11 PG Meadows 2023 (#32PHN 2023) – Saw a little of Hanning a few months ago at my Cedar City event, and was impressed with his speed and swagger. It will be fun to see him compete in this atmosphere, A double-digit varsity scorer his freshmen year if he can create for teammates, and control the tempo for his squad, Hannig has a chance to rise,
Jake Bevacqua Jake Bevacqua 5'10" | PG The Meadows School | 2023 State NV 5’9 PG Meadows 2023 (#21PHN 2021) – It will be nice to see Bevacqua on the floor. It’s been almost over a year since I’ve last seen him play. A sniper with moxie, I’ll be happy just to see him out there competing. A one-time top 10 guy in the class of 2023 rankings, if Bevaqua can look like his old self, he has a shot to rise.
Jacob Fogo Jacob Fogo 5'9" | PG Faith Lutheran | 2022 State NV 5’9 PG Faith Lutheran 2022 (#70PHN 2022) – Fogo can go. The diminutive PG has a good handle and can shoot the ball. While he’s not a blur, Fogo has had success playing under control and with pace. Good stage for a coming-out party. If he does expect his rankings to rise.
Donte Hoofkin Donte Hoofkin 6'3" | C Mojave | 2023 State NV 6’3 C D.I.G Basketball 2023 (#42PHN 2023) – Hoofkin will be under a microscope this weekend. The 5 man has flashed potential the last couple of times I’ve watched him play. I’m anxious to see what areas of his game he’s improved in. If he can provide a low post presence for D.I.G then he has a good chance to rise in the rankings.
Christopher Shaw SG D.I.G Basketball 2025 – Great opportunity for the young player Shaw. I got a glimpse of him over Memorial day weekend and really liked what I saw. I’m excited for an extended evaluation process this weekend. The class of 2025 rankings are only 3 months away, and a good impression at the TC will go a long way in landing Shaw high on the rankings.
