Summer offers young players without a lot of varsity experience to start getting ready for greater opportunities.

Here are a few Wichita wings and posts who might be in line for bigger roles next fall (in alphabetical order):

Andrea Baker, 6-foot-3, 2023, Wichita Magic, Wichita South HS:

A long and active wing, Baker makes a lot of athletic plays. He follows shots and converts a lot of buckets on misses. He has good hands in traffic and his explosiveness lets him make plays above the crowd. Baker runs the floor and is an effective ball handler in transition.

Paul Bloomer, 6-foot-4, 2024, Wichita Padres - Mocaby, Kapaun Mt. Carmel HS:

A powerful and physically developed post/wing for a rising sophomore, Bloomer is playing up with the Padres. He has a nice stroke from the midrange. He posts up and works in the lane, but he has accuracy out to the arc.

Michael Brown, 6-foot-5, 2023, Wichita Magic, Wichita Southeast HS:

Brown is a long and athletic big man. He intimidates in the lane and gets up to block shots at the rim. He thwarts drivers and swats shots by opposing posts. He is an effective passer from the lane, dumping
