Jacob Metivier, Mass Elite, Billerica, Class Sophomore, HT 6’5, Position PF
Jacob is having a very strong Spring AAU season, helping lead his team to tournament championships. The power forward is long, strong, and a force. Jacob has a great set of footwork in the post, a smooth hook shot, and turnaround jump shot, and is very good out on the open floor in transition. Jacob moves well for his size, and finishes very well. Jacob is an above the rim player, and can jump very high. You will see Jacob Throw down a dunk at times. Jacob is a player Who should get a lot of looks from coaches during his upper class years.
James Morakis, Middlesex Magic, HT 6’4, Position PG, Class Junior
James averaged 25 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists this past high school season. James is a very athletic guard, and uses his body very well. James is very quick, and does a great job of changing speeds. James can excel no matter what the tempo of the game is. James can score in multiple ways. Shooting, off the dribble, and he is very sound on the pick and roll. James is a player you should watch, he has a lot of potential.
Jack Connell, Take Charge, Senior, HT 6’0, Position G,
Jack is a guard who is a true point guard and reads the defenses really well. Jack has really been rising his stock this spring, leading him to get an offer, and then commit to Wentworth. Jack can play out in transition, and the half court. Jack is also a very good on ball defender. I think Jack’s game will translate well to the college level.
Justin Allen, position SG, Take Charge, class sophomore
Justin Is a high level three point shooter. Justin has had games this spring AAU season with 30 points and 7 three pointers. Justin also hit a game winning 3 pointer one game this season. Justin has good ball control, and is a great set shooter. Justin moves without the ball well and always finds a way to get open. Justin also hits tough shots, when defenders are pressuring him. Justin should keep getting better, and should have a big Junior and senior season.
Jack Wirtanen, Boston Warriors, Catholic Memorial, Class Senior, HT 6’5, Position G/SF
Jack is a forward, and has guard like skills. Jack is tough, strong built, and has a long reach. Jack stretches the floor well with his shooting. Jack shot 48 percent from three this past high school season. Jack is very aggressive on the boards, and rebounds the ball well. Jack has a very balanced inside and out game. Jack was a very good defender in Catholic memorials full court press. Jack has the game to translate to the next level.
