Morris is clearly a dual sport athlete, at 6’2 210 pounds, his low center of gravity allows for two-way versatility. He is effective as an off-ball slasher, using his compact frame to body through defenders. Around the rim, Morris has above average touch on drives, where he can effectively double clutch for tough attempts. Defensively, Morris is an incredibly unique athlete due to his combination of straight line speed, lateral quickness, and stocky frame. Morris can stay in front of any shooting guard and most point guards, plus he is handsy. Since he is able to absorb contact, Morris is a matchup nightmare for opposing guards.
Asher Nofziger Asher Nofziger 6'7" | PF Cherry Creek | 2022 State CO – Cherry Creek – 22’
Asher is a 6’7 big who plays a fundamentally sound brand of basketball. Asher is effective using his pivot foot in the low post to create easy at-rim opportunities. He just does not force shots, out of the seniors in this upcoming class, Asher has to be one of the most disciplined on offense. Securing defensive rebounds is another one of his strengths, where he is often moving to get into position.
Chris Schlesinger Chris Schlesinger 6'5" | PF Rock Canyon | 2022 State CO – Rock Canyon – 22’
The 6’4 guard makes a living inside the arc for himself and his teammates. Schlesinger is effective going to either hand on drives, but prefers his right hand. He can consistently hit turnaround fadeaways, one of which won Rock Canyon the Northern Colorado team tournament on June 12th. Schlesinger is an exciting prospect because of his reactionary passing vision. One of his favorite moves is a spin on drives. His footwork is quick enough to make the defense commit, allowing Schlesinger to find the open teammate.
Jayden Washington Jayden Washington 6'5" | PF Eaglecrest | 2022 State CO – Eaglecrest – 22’
Washington is a combo forward who will not only make you pay on the offensive glass, but can even jump out to the three point line and hit a contested jumper. Even though his shots were not falling at Northern Colorado, Washington was given the green light to take shots, showing the trust the coaching staff has in him. Washington is effective as an off-ball defender, where he uses his length to intercept drives and passing lanes. At 6’6 or taller, keep an eye on how his perimeter game develops throughout the next few months.
Clayton Wright – Monarch – 22’
Wright is a taller wing at 6’5 or taller who can confidently attack the defense on straight line drives. He is a skinnier player that is light on his feet, allowing him to easily contest perimeter jump shots. He has a intuitive understanding of pace, often attacking the defense while they recover on rotations. Wright was not with Monarch last season, seeing how quickly he adjusts to the new team will be crucial for his development.
