Continue ReadingThe SD Attack AAU program is one of the best in the Midwest. One of the most impressive parts about SD Attack is that they get out on the road and travel. They have been all over this spring/summer. SD Attack wants to play against the best competition, compete against different teams, and play in new cities/venues. They are loaded with talented individuals that will play at the next level. Below we will look at 4 players that have been playing well and who will continue to improve as the summer moves on. Look out for these guys, college coaches will want to see these players right away!
4 Players That Have Had Their Stock Rise:
Lincoln Kienholz Lincoln Kienholz 6'3" | PG Pierre | 2023 State SD (2023) |6-3 G| Pierre/SD Attack – He is playing up a year on the 17’s team. Lincoln continues to scratch the surface as he is a 4-sport athlete. Kienholz is the QB for football, pitches in baseball, runs track, and plays basketball. He has been balancing all those sports and he will continue to set his sights on playing college basketball. Lincoln is getting more comfortable playing up and everyone is excited to see how he performs in July. Kienholz is a special and elite athlete. Everything he does seems to come easy for him. As far as recruiting, Lincoln has received interest from South Dakota, South Dakota State, Nebraska-Omaha, North Dakota, Drake, and Augustana. I imagine this list will continue to grow as he shines on the court.
Lucas Lorenzen Lucas Lorenzen 6'4" | SF Okoboji | 2022 State IA (2022) |6-4 G/F| Okoboji (IA)/SD Attack – He played in his first tourney this past weekend in St. Cloud after coming back from an injury. Lucas had been out since the beginning of March but is now getting back into it. He made 3rd team All-Tourney in St. Cloud. As he gets back into rhythm his stock should rise and scouts will take notice. Watch him as he continues to showcase his electric athleticism and flexibility to play in and out. Lorenzen can play above the rim and he is a highlight waiting to happen. This stud has multiple scholarship offers from NAIA to D2 with many more to come if he keeps playing well.
Taylen Ashley Taylen Ashley 5'11" | PG Sf Roosevelt | 2023 State SD (2023) |6-0 G| Jefferson/SD Attack – A first-class athlete and a multi-sport contributer. Taylen excels as the starting QB and a great runner in track. Ashley is lightning quick and is a big catalyst to the 16u team. He has the ability to change the flow of a game on both ends. Taylen is an all-star athlete that has a very high ceiling. He can break ankles with his explosive and quick moves. Taylen can also make finesse plays with beautiful touch passes. He is very exciting and dynamic in transition. Ashley has an offer from Augustana and he has received interest from Drake, Sioux Falls, Nebraska-Omaha, South Dakota, North Dakota State, Northern State.
JT Rock JT Rock 7'1" | C Sioux Falls Lincoln | 2024 #37 Nation SD (2024) |6-11 F| Sioux Falls Lincoln/SD Attack – His size says it all, and he is constantly improving. You can not teach/coach 6’-11″! However, he is more than just tall. Rock has nice feet, soft hands, and good athleticism. His shooting range can stretch out to 3-point land. We talked about him earlier in the week as a top rim protector. He is also a dominant rebounder. JT does have an offer from South Dakota State. I have a feeling there are many more to come after that. He can get to the Power-5 level if he keeps working hard and improving.
