SCBCA #SCLive2021: 2024 Top Performers – Part 1

The 2024 Palmetto State will be Sophomores this coming fall in the classroom. Who are some of the top players in this class ? Which players were in attendance this past weekend at the SCBCA #SCLive 2021 in Rock Hill ? Lets take a look at some of these 2024 players right here in this article.  Cameron Scott Cameron Scott 6'5" | SG Lexington | 2024 State SC - Lexington HS  Scott is the #1 player in the 2024 Palmetto State Class. Scott a good sized combo guard averaged 16.9 ppg, 8.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.6 steals this past season for the Wildcats. Scott is very well skilled young man already for his age since being on the varsity since his 8th grade year. Cameron brings a great deal of versatility to the floor along with playmaking skills from the guard position.  Scott picked up a offer from Ole Miss earlier today.  Jaquarious Patterson Jaquarious Patterson 6'4" | SF TL Hanna | 2024 State SC - TL Hanna HS (Anderson)  Patterson was able to convert some of his perimeter shooting today when he wasn't slashing to the basket. Patterson has great length and frame for his age already. Patterson saw good minutes this past season for the Yellow Jackets at the varsity level averaging 7 ppg and 5 rebounds while starting 18 games.  Julen Iturbe Julen Iturbe 6'8" | PF Riverside | 2024 State SC - Riverside HS (pictured on front) Iturbe felt very comfortable handling the ball and shooting from behind the three point line today. Julen has great set of hands and a soft touch from the perimeter. Iturbe's father played his college ball at local Clemson University along with a pro basketball career overseas. Iturbe will be one of the leaders of the Warriors team this coming season.  Darius Elkins Darius Elkins 5'9" | CG Newberry | 2024 State SC - Newberry HS  Elkins a left-handed guard plays both backcourt positions for the Bulldogs. Elkins feels comfortable shooting the ball on the perimeter and especially from downtown. Elkins can play fast or can slow it down in a half court set at times. Darius is a fluent passer and seems to really set-up his teammates well at times with his decision making skills.  JJ Rembert JJ Rembert 5'11" | PG Nation Ford | 2024 State SC - Nation Ford HS (Fort Mill)  Rembert is a new name to take notice here in the Palmetto State. Rembert a left-handed jet quick point guard transferred in from Our Savior New American in New York. Rembert really likes to push the tempo and get the ball into the paint.
