Players on the brink to explode:
Adam Jenkins Adam Jenkins 6'9" | C Moorhead | 2023 State MN (2023) |6-8 F| Moorhead/ECI – He is a BIG that moves extremely well. Jenkins is a rim protector and he can also defend well on the perimeter. Adam’s length and athleticism make him a tough matchup for other bigs. He has had serious interest from the NSIC and Summit League.
Alex Dvorak Alex Dvorak 6'1" | PG Dickinson | 2023 State ND (2023) |6-0 G| Dickinson/ND Attack – He is a quick and very skilled guard. Alex can create his own shot and he can score in bunches. This crafty and potent shooting guard has been receiving interest from the NSIC schools so far this summer. Look for this baller to improve as the summer rolls on.
Anthony Doppler Anthony Doppler 6'4" | SG Bismarck Century | 2023 State ND (2023) |6-4 G| Bismarck Century/ND Phenom – This big/athletic guard is super talented with great skills. Doppler has seen high interest from NSIC schools and Summit League programs. Once we get into July, I will not be surprised if his recruiting interest picks up.
Carter Zeller Carter Zeller 6'6" | PF Fargo North | 2024 State ND (2024) |6-5 F| Fargo North/ECI – This powerful forward controls his space with strength and tenacity. He will absolutely be a double-double guy this year in the EDC. Zeller has the gift of reading the ball in the air and anticipating where it will be off the rim. Carter is a put-back monster and he is hard to control on the block. One thing not often talked about is his hands. Carter catches everything and he always has them ready. Hooping down in Atlanta gives him the possibility of blowing up as a prospect.
Conner Kraft Conner Kraft 6'5" | PF Shanley | 2023 State ND (2023) |6-7 F| Fargo Shanley/Howard Pulley – This powerful athlete has drawn interest from all over the country at the D-1 level. Kraft and his Pulley team have looked good this summer and he has been seen by many scouts. Once July gets here I expect more schools to jump on the Kraft wagon.
Darik Dissette Darik Dissette 6'4" | SG Minot | 2023 State #300 Nation ND (2023) |6-3 G| Minot/ND Attack – He is a superior athlete that had a phenomenal sophomore season in the WDA. Dissette was an All-State selection last season. Darik’s 3-point shooting has improved this spring and summer. He is consistently knocking down more shots and his range has also extended. Dissette has the interest of multiple D-2 schools from the NSIC so far. As he continues to improve, expect more coaches and scouts to get after Darik.
Eric Wentz Eric Wentz 6'2" | SG Minot | 2022 State ND (2022) |6-3 G| Minot/ECI – He has been a bit under the radar so far. Eric is very fundamentally solid and he rarely makes a mistake. He is super coachable who is very vocal and he always gets his teammates going on the floor. You can not coach many of the attributes that this kid has. Wentz is ball-strong, he gathers off two feet, shot fakes, changes pace on offense, and is a tough defender. He does many things that very few kids want to do. Wentz is sure to have a great July.
Gus Hurlburt Gus Hurlburt 6'9" | PF Enderlin | 2022 State ND (2022) |6-9 F| Enderlin/D1-Minnesota – This super bright player has been solid all summer. Gus has been working very hard in the weight room on his strength and agility. As he continues to hone his craft and improve as an athlete the college coaches could come calling. Hurlburt has all the tools and smarts to play college ball.
Isaac Bruns Isaac Bruns 6'4" | SG Dakota Valley | 2023 State SD (2023) |6-3 G| Dakota Valley/SD Attack – He looked great this past weekend in St. Cloud. Bruns has basketball all throughout his family and he grew up around the game. He has a PHD in hoops. He is a cold-blooded scorer that is still growing. Bruns has drawn interesting from D-1 mid-majors so far. He will no doubt improve his game, so watch as his recruitment improves.
JT Rock (2024) Sioux Falls Lincoln/SD Attack – This big young man has already received an offer from South Dakota State University. The more he gets out there and plays I think the attention and offers will keep coming. Look out for Mr. Rock, he is a very intriguing prospect.
Nick Carlson Nick Carlson 6'4" | SF West Fargo | 2022 State ND (2022) |6-4 F| West Fargo/ECI – He plays much bigger than 6’-4″. Nick is a kid that has been under the radar so far this summer. He is a gym rat whose time is really paying off. Carlson can play the 3, 4, or 5. He finishes around the rim better than most. Nick is very aggressive and his crafty moves make him tough to guard. He is an animal on the boards and he alters shot on defense with his athleticism. You can not find many kids that work harder than him.
Jeremiah Sem Jeremiah Sem 6'3" | SG Fargo North | 2024 State #303 Nation ND (2024) |6-3 G| Fargo North/ECI – He scores at all 3-levels of the floor and his athleticism is unmatched. Sem literally does things on the floor that makes dudes shake their head in awe. Jeremiah has a ton of bounce with a second gear to his game. You want the ball in his hands during clutch time. His recruiting could get a little crazy if he has a good showing down in Atlanta later this summer.
Raymond Brown Raymond Brown 5'11" | PG Fargo Davies | 2023 State ND (2023) |5-10 G| Fargo Davies/ECI – He is an extremely quick point guard. Ray can pick up and defend full-court. He applies great ball pressure on opposing guards. Brown has great instincts on offense. He has the ability to get into the paint and create opportunities for himself and others.
Taylen Ashley Taylen Ashley 5'11" | PG Sf Roosevelt | 2023 State SD (2023) |6-0 G| Jefferson/SD Attack – He has had D-1 interest from mid-major schools so far. Ashley is a complete stud in everything that he does. He is the number 1 ranked PG in SD in the 2023 class. Taylen is a playmaker and a crazy-good athlete. His future is very bright and he could easily explode as a prospect later this summer.
Treysen Eaglestaff Treysen Eaglestaff 6'5" | SF Bismark | 2022 State ND (2022) |6-5 F| Bismarck/D1-Minnesota – He is one of the best players I have watched this spring/summer. Eaglestaff is a very special talent. So far he has mid-major D-1 interest. That could easily improve as the summer progresses. Since the start of the AAU season, Trey has tightened up and improved his handles. His strength around the basket has absolutely improved. The sky really is the limit for Eaglestaff.
