Across the state, especially in the Philadelphia and Pittsburgh locations, we bring to your attention the Top 10 additions to the rankings. These young men have bright futures as we look to follow their high school and AAU careers over the next few seasons.
CLASS OF 2025 TOP 10
1 – Shareef Jackson Shareef Jackson 6'9" | C Roman Catholic | 2025 State #249 Nation PA / 6’7 / power forward / Philadelphia Area
- An extremely talented player that has the ability to “take over” games with his overall skillset
- He likes to play physical and is a tough, hard-nosed player that college coaches will want in their program
2 – Alier Maluk Alier Maluk 7'0" | PF Long Island Lutheran | 2025 State #62 Nation NY / 6’8 / power forward / Pittsburgh Area
- This young man is still trying to adapt to his length and size, but he is making major strides
- By the time his senior year rolls around, look for him to have many college offers on the table
3 – Olin Chamberlain Olin Chamberlain 6'0" | PG St Joseph's Prep | 2025 State PA / 6’0 / shooting guard / Philadelphia Area
- A skilled shooter from the perimeter who can get in the lane and score as well
- He plays solid defense and is known to have many steals/deflections during a game
4 – Keon Mtume-Long Keon Mtume-Long 6'3" | SG Neumann-Goretti | 2025 State #393 Nation PA / 6’0 / shooting guard / Philadelphia Area
- His athleticism makes him a constant problem in the open court for the opponent
- This creative penetrator has developed a balanced attack on the offensive end
5 – Kiev Rucker Kiev Rucker 6'2" | SF Father Judge | 2025 State PA / 6’1 / small forward / Philadelphia Area
- An above-average wing player who can score in a variety of ways
- One of his strengths is on defense where he makes an immediate impact for his team
6 – Malik Myatt-Dorsey / 5’10 / point guard / Philadelphia Area
- He is a floor general and leader on the court for his teammates
- Always looks to get everyone else involved in the offense, extremely unselfish point guard
7 – Kevair Kennedy Kevair Kennedy 6'1" | PG Father Judge | 2025 State PA / 5’8 / point guard / Philadelphia Area
- Despite his size, he plays much bigger each time he steps on the court
- He has a high basketball IQ and puts the work in to get better
8 – Jayden Davis Jayden Davis 5'10" | CG Chartiers Valley | 2025 State PA / 5’10 / combo guard / Pittsburgh Area
- An overall balanced basketball player that makes things happen on the offensive and defensive end during a contest
- With his exceptional court awareness, this young man creates opportunities for himself and his teammates
9 – Meleek Thomas Meleek Thomas 6'4" | CG Lincoln Park | 2025 State #5 Nation PA / 6’1 / wing forward / Pittsburgh Area
- The length and vertical ability of this player makes him a terror on the glass
- His ability to knock down long-range shots and penetrate to the basket create problems for the defense
10 – Shamar Simpson Shamar Simpson 6'1" | SF The Neighborhood Academy | 2025 State PA / 6’0 / combo guard / Pittsburgh Area
- A skilled, guard who shines can score in bunches on offense while playing quality defense
- He gets the ball up the floor in transition and sets up his teammates for many scoring opportunities
As we look to expand more on the Pennsylvania state rankings moving forward, these young basketball stars will continue to work hard on the court. By the time our next Prep Hoops PA update is live, look for a few of these guys to have some college offers in their pocket. Philadelphia has been a “hotbed” of hoops for a long time and Pittsburgh seems to be on the rise with the 2025 class.
