Continue ReadingThe rankings are out! The updated PrepHoops Nevada C/O 2022 rankings have been released. These are our most extensive rankings to date with 98 players making the list. The class features several little-known potential prospects. In this article, we take a look at the top Sleepers from the class.
Dontrell Johnson Dontrell Johnson 6'5" | SF Trinity | 2022 State NV 6’5 SF Bonanza #7 (featured image) – Has D1 type athleticism. Johnson is the top high motor player in the class and would be out on the floor even if that was the only thing he brought. He’s improved his offensive game, and can now score in transition, or when creating a shot for himself. He has remarkably improved his 3 point shooting, which is one of the main reasons for his sleeper status. The school that ends up with him, will be getting a player just scratching the surface of his potential.
Isaiah Dahl Isaiah Dahl 6'4" | SG Elko | 2022 State NV 6’3 SG Elko #29 – Dahl has the ability to shoot the basketball. His accuracy from behind the 3 point line alone makes him a valuable commodity. He has good size to play somewhere, and if he continues to improve his ball skills, he’s going to become even more valuable to some program.
Brandon Enriquez Brandon Enriquez 6'6" | C Shadow Ridge | 2022 State NV 6’6 C Shadow Ridge #25 – Enriquez is one of the tallest players in the state. He also is one of the best rebounders and rim protectors. He is actively working on transitioning down to a wing spot, however, with his size and defensive ability, he becomes an intriguing prospect for programs seeking frontcourt depth.
Tyler Shipp Tyler Shipp 6'5" | SF Foothill | 2022 ID 6’5 SF Foothill #30 – You know how you get an image in your head and you just can’t shake it? That’s how I feel about the last time I saw Shipp play in person. Got to see quite a bit of the rangy forward during Memorial Day Weekend, and his slashing and playmaking ability really caught my attention. If he consistently plays like I last saw him, expect his stock to rise.
Nick Middlebrooks Nick Middlebrooks 6'2" | SG Faith Lutheran | 2022 State NV 6’2 SG Faith Lutheran #68 – I really wish I would have gotten to see more of Middlebrooks during the Territorial Classic. I was impressed with his wiggle and overall perimeter skills. He only played in one game, however, if he continues to look like I saw him, then he may be poised to be another in a long line of Faith Lutheran Sleepers.
