The state of Arizona had 6 players who attended the camp including two newcomers who will be attending the nationally ranked AZ Compass Prep next year.
Here is a report of the six players who will be attending AZ schools in the fall:
Dylan Andrews Dylan Andrews 6'3" | PG AZ Compass Prep | 2022 State #23 Nation AZ AZ Compass Prep (Made the Top-30 Cream of the Crop game)
-A talented scoring lead guard can score it from all levels. He can attack off the bounce and finish in the lane with a nice layup package. He has the floater game, the euro, and is crafty to finish with his left or right hand. He can pull-up off the dribble from mid to the 3pt line plus find teammates and make some plays.
Adrame Diongue Adrame Diongue 6'11" | C AZ Compass Prep | 2022 State #202 Nation AZ AZ Compass Prep (Made the Top-60 Cream of the Crop game)
-One of the top rim protectors at the camp. I have been saying it for over two years now. This kid is a high level shot blocker and rebounder. He comes out of the crowd way above most to snatch the ball at its highest point with two hands. His activity, length, fluidity, speed for position makes him very attractive for the next level. He is improving his scoring around the rim and his FT stroke is looking better. (He had 10 actual dunks in the Top-60 game just running the court).
Duke Brennan Duke Brennan 6'10" | C Hillcrest Prep | 2022 State #219 Nation AZ Hillcrest Prep (Made the Top-60 Cream of the Crop game)
-A self proclaimed bruiser did what he does best, and that is rebound. He carves out space with his mans body and plays with a motor and collects out of area boards. He is best near the rim and has a polished hook shot with advanced post footwork. He can step out occasionally to the 3pt line and is a very good passer.
Max Allen Max Allen 6'8" | C AZ Compass Prep | 2022 AZ AZ Compass Prep
-A thick 5-man has soft hands and impressive skill. He is very strong inside to rebound the ball with two-hands. He outlets the ball well to teammates. He can also step out and hit the 3 with real range. He has good post footwork, he plays hard and should add real depth to their front court on a talented roster.
Styles Phipps Styles Phipps 6'1" | PG St Mary's | 2024 State #182 Nation AZ St. Mary’s
-The local product was a replacement who looked like he belonged. One of the better rising sophs locally has a tight handle and a high feel and IQ for the game. He is a natural scoring lead guard who can drive and kick, throw the lob pass and thread the needle. He loves the pull-up off the dribble from mid to the 3. He has good quickness and plays smartly off the pick and roll.
Koa Peat Koa Peat 6'8" | PF Perry | 2025 State #6 Nation AZ Perry
-A rare incoming freshman held his own and shockingly only turned 14 recently. The last freshman I viewed at the camp was Deandre Ayton and he worked out just fine. Koa started a little slow in his 1st game, but scored 20 points in his second game which led all scorers. I personally viewed his 3rd game, where he scored 12, and he is very calm and poised for his age. He has good upper body strength already with a nice handle and knows where to go with the ball. He scores it currently best closest to the basket with put backs and inside buckets, but has a nice pull-up off the dribble from mid to the 3.
