I watched some talented teams and viewed some excellent players. Below are my All-Tournament Teams, lets take a look at the best players I saw over the weekend.
First Team
Isaac Severts Isaac Severts 6'6" | PF Bemidji | 2023 State MN |6-6 F| MN Comets Elite/Bemidji – He rebounded the ball well, I liked how he fought for the rock. Issac is a physically gifted athlete. He is a beast around the basket. Severts is a well-rounded player that can fit into multiple positions. He can battle down low or make athletic plays on the wing. The Lumberjacks have an intriguing player with Severts.
Jeffrey Iwuchukwu |6-7 F| Minnesota Grizzlies/Park Center -He is a massive player with great strength. Jeffrey is an intimidating player. He is a beast in the paint. However, he is not just a big body. Jeffrey moves well and is agile. He alters and blocks shots. I like how he can finish physically through contact and still have a soft touch. Park Center has to be very excited about Iwuchukwu.
Kaden Pieper Kaden Pieper 6'3" | SG Belgrade Brooten Elrosa | 2023 State MN |6-3 G| West Central Wildcats/BBE – I loved the way he caught, ripped the ball through, and attacked the basket all in one motion. Kaden has a long, long, and quick first step. He is an impressive athlete. Pieper is a very aggressive and intense player. He can also shoot it from 3-point land with nice form. He will be a stud next season with BBE.
Kobe Karels Kobe Karels 6'2" | PG Cambridge | 2023 State MN |6-0 G| Northstar Titans/Cambridge-Isanti – This steller point guard knows how to shake defenders. Kobe plays calm, cool, and collected. He knows when to play fast and he knows when to be patient. Kobe has ball-on-a-string handles. His shooting form is right out of a textbook. Karels is a distributor and a playmaker. Look out for Kobe, he is the real deal.
Nathan Fenske Nathan Fenske 6'2" | SG Lakeview | 2023 State MN |6-2 G| SW Minnesota Stars/Lakeview – He was very impressive. Fenske shoots it well from beyond the arc. Nathan was electric in transition. He runs the floor hard and he battled for rebounds. Fenske can slam dunk it with authority. On Sunday morning he showed off a sweet reverse layup with defenders all over him. College coaches will want to get a look at Fenske, if they have not seen him yet.
Second Team
