Jake Orr Jake Orr 6'3" | SF Roncalli | 2022 State NE | Roncalli
Orr is a good athlete with solid instincts on the court. I included him with the bigs because I consider him more of a wing than a guard, but he stands at 6’2″. Every time he is on the court he brings intensity and competitiveness. His rebounding stood out today, and finished a few tough “and-one’s” off putbacks. He was one of the more versatile players at the event.
Jacob Arop | Bellevue West
Bellevue West will be contenders once again, despite the losses of Chucky Hepburn Chucky Hepburn 6'1" | PG Bellevue West | 2021 State #77 Nation NE and Frankie Fidler Frankie Fidler 6'6" | SF Bellevue West | 2021 State NE . Arop, a 2024 Omaha South transfer, will have an opportunity to make an instant impact. He has size, both height and weight, but moves well in his body. He can run the floor, and handle it a bit. He rises quickly, has nice touch around the rim, and offers a floor-spacing element that starter William Kyle William Kyle 6'8" | C Bellevue West | 2022 State NE does not have right now. There is room to grow with his rebounding and post defense, but the future is bright.
Mitch Scholl Mitch Scholl 6'6" | C Omaha Skutt | 2023 State NE | Skutt Catholic
Scholl brought power and finesse to the Field House Friday morning. Against Bellevue West, Scholl was a presence inside. Against one of the state’s best rim protectors in William Kyle William Kyle 6'8" | C Bellevue West | 2022 State NE , Scholl used his size to carve out space and finish with touch on the baby hook on a few occasions. If he can have a positive impact inside possession to possession, it would be a welcome sight for a team looking to stay in title contention.
Nick Dolezal | Millard North
The best off-ball mover I watched all day was Dolezal, a 2022 wing. The cuts were beautifully timed, his long limbs and steady hands provided a great target for the ball-handler, and if it didn’t lead directly to a bucket, he made the next play more times than not. Millard North moved themselves and the ball very well today, and Dolezal stood out among all of them in that department.
Logan Wilson Logan Wilson 6'5" | PF Omaha Westside | 2022 State NE | Westside (pictured)
Wilson is one of the more underrated PF/C in the 2022 class, in my estimations. He is a bit undersized, but has a few tricks to overcome that in the post. He times his leaps well, and is a solid shot-blocker without a high foul-rate. He is mobile as well, and can guard a little bit on the perimeter. He continues to improve offensively, showcasing some nice pivots and drop steps that led to buckets today.
