Jarrett Mueller Jarrett Mueller 5'11" | PG Platte County | 2022 State MO 5’11″ Platte County: The 2022 guard was a serious buckets throughout the weekend, but he really put in a show in the game I watched on Saturday morning. He scored a game-high 30 points and did in a variety of ways. He knocked down 3-pointers, scored on twisting drives in the lane and stop and pop jumpers from the mid-range. He knows how to create the space and get his own shot.
Larry Parker Iii Larry Parker Iii 6'4" | SF Staley | 2023 State MO 6’4″ Staley: The 2023 wing player has looked tremendous since coming off of an injury which caused him to miss most of the spring action. He is a physical, athletic player who is a skilled ball handler and 3-point shooter. He can create off the dribble or use his strength to power to the basket. He is also a factor on the boards at both ends of the floor.
Colby Lancaster Colby Lancaster 6'6" | PF Fulton | 2023 State MO 6’6″ Fulton: The 2023 power forward was a force around the basket in the morning game with 22 points and general dominance in the low post. He displayed his footwork with drop steps and jump hooks and his power with a number of thunderous dunks. At 220-pounds he is stout as well as being explosive around the basket.
Jaisten Payne Jaisten Payne 5'10" | PG Moberly | 2022 State MO 5’10″ Moberly: I was looking forward to see this 2022 point guard play in person and I was not disappointed. He was very hard to defend with his speed and quickness and ability to get a bucket at all three levels. He can get by defenders on the blow by, but he can stop and pop for the jumper and hit the 3-pointer. He also showed that he was fully capable of creating for his teammates as well as for himself.
Jordan Andrews Jordan Andrews 6'0" | CG Thayer | 2022 State MO 6’2″ Thayer: The 2022 guard had the most impressive game that I watched on the day when he went for more than 40 points in an afternoon contest. He is a very potent scorer who is always on the attack, but he really had the 3-point stroke working as he hit several of those high-arching rainbows. Once he felt it early, he was in a full lather and he couldn’t be stopped as he stayed on the attack and got downhill for several layups.
Austin Vick Austin Vick 6'8" | PF Westminster | 2022 State MO 6’8″ Westminster Christian: The 2022 power forward had a very productive weekend. With his team being short-handed, Vick got the opportunity to expand his offensive game as he played the point-center role for his team. He was the main facilitator as he dropped several dimes to open cutters and and was good on dribble handoffs. He worked his inside game well and displayed his 3-point shooting prowess. He even hit a few step-back 3s.
Miller Long 6’3″ College Heights Christian: The 2022 guard had an impressive early-morning game in which he scored 27 points, which included five 3-pointers. He was constantly moving on offense and getting himself open for layups or open 3-pointers. He does an excellent job of making the right reads without the ball to create his scoring opportunities. He is also a very solid ball handler who can also play through the contact.
