Prep Hoops Missouri was in the house in Columbia to watch the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association Small College Showcase. The event features players from around the state with a number of college recruiters in hand.

Here is a look at some of the top standouts from the first day of action on Friday.

Nate Straughter Nate Straughter 6'2" | SG Chaminade | 2022 State MO 6’3 Chaminade: The 2022 shooting guard looked dominant on the offensive end as he had things working from all three levels. He was shooting the 3-pointer at a high clips and he was mixing it a variety of athletic drives to the basket along with a few entertaining dunks.

Malcolm Davis Malcolm Davis 6'1" | SG Helias | 2022 State MO 6’1 Helias: The 2022 shooting guard started the game slow, but then he caught fire and couldn’t be stopped as he scored 28 points and hit the game wining 3-pointer in overtime. He was hitting open 3s, contested 3s and tough drives to the basket. He also delivered some nice passes throughout the game.

Courtland Simmons Courtland Simmons 5'10" | PG Fulton | 2023 State MO 5’11 Fulton: The bullish 2023 point guard scored 24 points and had a strong defensive presence in the game I watched. He simply manhandles opposing guards with his strength on his way
