24 varsity teams descended on Lexington Catholic and Frederick Douglass high schools this past weekend to take part in the annual Mack, Miller and Lofton event hosted by the Kentucky Basketball Commission. Here’s a look at the top overall performers for the event. These are only the players I saw in person, if a player had a great game and I missed it, sorry.

Friday night featured a great game in a hot auxiliary gym as Fern Creek beat Frederick Douglass by 2.  Darien Lewis Darien Lewis 5'11" | PG Fern Creek | 2022 State KY was outstanding for Creek as he scored 31 points and had the game winning bucket.

Aden Slone Aden Slone 5'9" | PG George Rogers Clark | 2022 State KY put on a show all weekend with his ball handling and passing. Slone is the engine that makes GRC go and showed improved scoring with an advanced floater and the ability to play off of 2 feet in the paint.

Bath County’s  Tyler Buckhanon Tyler Buckhanon 6'8" | PF Bath County | 2022 KY is a transfer from the Maryland/D.C. area and passes the eye test as a big and athletic forward prospect. He’s raw in the skill department but seems to have a good motor.

Recent Bryan Station import  Bless Kamuena Bless Kamuena 6'5" | SF Bryan Station | 2022 KY had a strong weekend. Bless can play on
