All Star:
Eli Shetlar Eli Shetlar 6'4" | SG Andover | 2023 State KS , 6-foot-4 guard, TBB KS, Andover HS (pictured):
Shetlar was the only Kansan listed on the GRMC all-star teams. He is a smooth, smart guard/wing who can do some of everything. He stood out for getting into the lane and making athletic plays, particularly kicking the ball to teammates or scoring on aggressive drives. But he can hit from distance, and has the length to impact the game in many ways.
Posts:
Fernando Gracia Fernando Gracia 6'6" | PF Olathe North | 2023 KS of 816 Burch made an impact with his shot blocking and his ability to float from the lane to the perimeter to find open threes. His teammate Drew Purdy is also a shot-blocking big who stood out in KC. Michael Brown of Wichita Magic is an intimidator in the lane who also passes well from the post. Jailen Thompson Jailen Thompson 6'5" | PF Free State | 2023 State KS of United Basketball showed off a lot of athleticism and playmaking from the lane. Spencer Owens of KC Spurs and Wyatt Stover of B2B Elite were both really powerful and effective in the lane.
Wings:
Will Anciaux Will Anciaux 6'6" | PF Kapaun Mt Carmel | 2023 State KS is a long, athletic playmaker for TBB KS, as is Bryson Perez Bryson Perez 6'4" | SG Andover Central | 2023 KS for the Wichita Padres. Both were impactful at both ends in KC. Aidan Werth Aidan Werth 6'6" | PF St. Thomas Aquinas | 2022 KS is a tough, physical battler for United Basketball, showing off a ton of skills on the perimeter and in the lane. Mason Gomez Mason Gomez 6'3" | SG Topeka | 2023 KS shot the lights out for Kansas 94×50 Elite, as did Bryce Casanova for the Padres. Ryan Cummings carried a lot of weight as the lone big for GABL Future and made a lot of nice plays in the lane.
Guards:
Guard-rich GABL Future got real nice performances from Trent Johnson and Sam Leatherwood, among others. Trevonte Miller is a small, quick guard who got it done for 816 Fox. Malaki Taylor Malaki Taylor 6'1" | PG Gardner-Edgerton | 2023 State KS is a heady, productive guard for the KC Spurs, occasionally getting in the lane to knock down jumpers and making a lot of other plays. Topekans Pearse Brown of 94×50 Elite and Sincere Austin Sincere Austin 5'10" | PG Topeka West | 2023 State KS of United Basketball were both fine at guiding their clubs, handling the ball and making good things happen.
