Guard: Casen Lawrence Casen Lawrence 5'10" | PG Westminster | 2022 State MO 5’10″ Westminster Christian: The slick 2022 point guard was selected as the Most Valuable Player of the event after leading the Wildcats to the championship in convincing fashion. He was knocking down 3-pointers throughout the weekend, which included six in the championship game. When he wasn’t hitting long 3-pointers, he was handling the ball expertly and dropping some exquisite dimes to open teammates for buckets. He also displayed his ability to create his own shot with a variety of escape moves. He was the consummate point guard during the weekend with electric shooting.
Guard: Rob Martin Rob Martin 5'9" | PG CBC | 2022 State MO 5’9″ CBC: The 2022 point guard only played the first day of the event after being injured during a Saturday evening game, but up until then, he was lighting up the scoreboard with his all-around offensive game. His speed and quickness were tremendous assets as he was able to get wherever he wanted to go on the court. He was a blur in the open court with a number of coast to coast forays to the basket. In the half court offense, he showcased his scoring chops at all three levels. He was easily averaging more than 20 points a game in the games he played.
Guard: Kobi Williams Kobi Williams 6'4" | SG Westminster | 2023 State MO 6’2″ Westminster Christian: The athletic 2023 combo guard was a dynamic bucket throughout the event, which included a game-high 26 points in the Wildcats’ victory over Cardinal Ritter in the championship game. He was a very diverse offensive game, which includes a nice stroke from 3-point range and excellent moves off the bounce. He is very good at moving without the ball as he scored several buckets on nice back cuts in the flow of the offense. He was also using his size to post up smaller guards in the low blocks.
Forward: Luke Northweather Luke Northweather 6'9" | PF Blair Oaks | 2022 State MO 6’10″ Blair Oaks: The 2022 forward was a force in the paint throughout the weekend as he was able to score despite seeing double and triple teams virtually every time he touched the ball. He can score with both hands around the paint and find the open man out of the double team. He also showcased his perimeter game and he knocked down a number of 3-pointers, facilitated offense with his passing and served as a secondary ball handler against pressure defenses. He also displayed a lot of toughness he withstood a lot of physical punishment and gave it back in kind.
Forward: Robert Lewis Robert Lewis 6'8" | PF Cardinal Ritter | 2022 State MO 6’8″ Cardinal Ritter: The 2022 forward had a tremendous weekend as he displayed a fine combination of explosive athleticism and skill level. He has an excellent second and third jump to excel on the offensive boards. He also displayed a versatile set as he scored with quick moves in the post while displayed a nice turnaround jumper in the lane. He used his quickness to beat defenders off the dribble and knocked down 3-pointers off the catch. He also had some impressive rim runs for layups and slam dunks. He scored a team high 17 points in the championship game against Westminster.
