The games were highly competitive and there was plenty of talent on display throughout the event. Let’s dive right in and take a look at some of the top performers from the ECI Team Camp.
Apex Friendship Senior Guard Isaac Holmes Isaac Holmes 6'6" | CG Apex Friendship | 2022 State NC : His team had an impressive showing throughout the entire event as he showcased his ability to make an impact on the game in multiple ways. Knocking down outside shots, rebounding the ball and facilitating with some outstanding passes to teammates were all some of the things that we saw from him. He’s a legit D1 talent that will only continue to see his stock rise over the next few months.
Landstown HS Senior Guard Donald Hand: There is plenty to like about his game and his potential overall as a prospect. A 6’5 Guard with nice upper body strength, a quick first step and the ability to score the ball with ease, he plays the game with confidence and it doesn’t take long to see why so many D1 programs have already extended offers to him.
South Central HS Senior Guard Omar Harris Omar Harris 6'4" | CG South Central | 2022 State NC : His ability to score the ball without much of an issue was impressive. Although he scored at a high level, he didn’t force plays often and found his offense within the flow of the game. He has good size for a SG prospect, shoots a high percentage from multiple levels and his recruitment is now starting to pick up some buzz. Following the event he picked up offers from Chowan University and Elizabeth City State.
New Life Christian Junior Guard Malachi Travis Malachi Travis 6'2" | CG New Life Christian | 2023 State NC : This event was somewhat of a coming out party for him, putting together multiple 20+ point games and helping to lead his team to the Silver Championship. He’s a knock down shooter from three point range that also showed some ability to beat defenders off the dribble for buckets in the paint.
New Hanover Senior Guard Mikhail Pocknett Mikhail Pocknett 6'6" | PF New Hanover | 2022 State NC : A strong guard that can score it from multiple levels but really imposed his will inside the paint and finishing through contact. He’s about 6’4 with a nice physique , gets good lift on his shot and fits the mold of what you’re looking for from a college SG.
Cox Mill HS Senior Guard Marcus Morgan: He’s picked up a nice amount of interest from colleges and it doesn’t take a long time to see why. Marcus has a nice IQ for the game, good size for a Guard at about 6’3 and does all the small things that goes unnoticed by many.
