Nate Boateng 6”6. 2022. Fordham Prep
Nate comes out on our defensive team, but this young man is a scorer underneath as well. Combines athleticism and size. In this tournament, he was able to control the glass on both ends of the floor. An athletic shot blocker.
Kedar Davis 6”4. 2022 St Rays
Tremendous post defender. Uses his body well inside. Does not give up position. Has a low base in defending the post. Makes his opponent work to get the ball in the post and gain position. On the offensive end, he stays wide and low and has good footwork.
Jireej Cole Jireej Cole 6'5" | SG St. Rays | 2023 State NY . 6”6. 2023 St Rays
St Rays have another really good post defender in Jireej. Good at blocking and altering shots. A nice frame enables him to be a force in the middle. Tough tenacious rebounder. A force on the offensive end as well.
Christian Joe Christian Joe 5'11" | PG Bishop Loughlin | 2022 State NY 6”8 2022. Cardinal Hayes
Tarique was the star of the championship game with his scoring prowess. Like many of these players, they could end up on any one of our all-tournament teams. But Tarique in every game shows he can defend the drive, stop the ball in the open and be a rim protector, by altering or blocking shots. Also possesses chase down speed to defend. Have watched him defend the drive, block or alter a shot, get a loose ball, and then finish through contact. All in one sequence. Has grown 2 inches.
Ryan Hudson. 6”3. 2022. Holy Cross
Uses his quick hands to get deflections. Very active with his feet and hands. Stays in a good position. Very good in the open floor on both offense and defense.
Kesean Tracey 5”9. 2021. Monsignor Scanlan
Another perimeter player who can guard the ball in any situation without fouling. Stays in front of his man. Moves his feet. Forces you to change direction. Makes you uncomfortable.
Tysaun. Bruce 5”11. 2023. Holy Cross
This young guard can really guard the ball. Hands are very active. Showed the ability to guard the ball without fouling. His offensive mindset is the same, tough on the ball and plays through contact.
