Storylines
- Top 2023 Prospects With Major College Attention
Myles Colvin Myles Colvin 6'5" | SG Heritage Christian | 2023 State #51 Nation IN (Heritage Christian), Jermaine Coleman Jermaine Coleman 6'7" | SF Park Tudor | 2023 State IN (Park Tudor), and Joey Hart Joey Hart 6'5" | SG Linton-Stockton | 2023 State #214 Nation IN (Linton-Stockton) are all some of the top players in the 2023 class and all have received attention from major colleges. They are all the stars on their squads and are looking for good weekends to see more offers head their way. They are all players to keep a major eye on in the future.
- Wonnell Making Debut for Taylor
Bobby Wonnell Bobby Wonnell 6'2" | SG Taylor | 2022 State IN transferred from Kokomo to Taylor this season, and this will be one of the first times that we are able to see him in action. He is a very good shooter who should be playing college basketball in the future. Wonnell shot 40% from the outside last season, and I fully expect him to have a similar type of performance this weekend. Look for Taylor to be much improved with Wonnell now leading the way.
- 2024’s With a Chance to Make an Impact
Sam Essegian Sam Essegian 6'6" | SF Whitko | 2024 State IN (Central Noble) and Braden Walters Braden Walters 6'6" | PF Terre Haute North | 2024 State IN (Linton-Stockton) both are some of the top 2024 prospects in the state, and both of them have a chance to make an impact. After losing Lincoln Hale Lincoln Hale 6'5" | SG Linton-Stockton | 2021 State IN , Walters may be the piece that Linton needs to make another run through the state tournament. For Central Noble, Connor Essegian Connor Essegian 6'4" | SG Central Noble | 2022 State #170 Nation IN is still leading the way, but they are looking for more players to step up. Sam may be able to do so this weekend. Watch these 2024 prospects this weekend and in the future.
