Cape Fear Region Team Camp C/O 2024 Standouts

<p>Hoke County HS Sophomore Guard <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1086991" first="Jaylen" last="Sturdivant"]</strong>: Has a chance to be a special prospect if he continues to work and increases his motor on both ends of the floor. His scoring ability stood out to us as he didn’t have much of an issue at all scoring the ball against some of the better teams in the area which is impressive for a player with only one year of varsity experience. He knocks down shots from outside, finds ways to get inside the paint, and doesn’t seem to get bothered even when his shot is pretty well contested.</p> <p>Red Springs Sophomore Guard <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1105798" first="Kaedon" last="Porter"]</strong>: A smooth guard that has a nice blend of acceleration and craftiness that he uses to get into the paint at a pretty solid rate. He finished well once he got inside the paint but he also displayed a smooth shooting stroke from three point land that allowed him to knock down the trey ball consistently.  </p> <p>Pine Forest HS Sophomore Guard <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1104959" first="Darris" last="Simmons"]</strong>: He’s taking advantage of the opportunity to get some time on the court with his new school and it looks like he’s already made his way up the depth chart. It’s impressive to see a youngster that understands how to balance his scoring and passing at a young age but that’s what we are seeing from him as he continues to develop overall.</p> <p>Westover HS Guard <strong>Almare Josey</strong>: The younger brother of a former Westover standout, Almare shows some of the same attributes of his older brother who eventually moved on to play at the JUCO level. His ability to shoot the ball is the attribute that will help him to be able to stay on the floor at a young age. He has good range, nice shooting mechanics and is developing nicely overall.  </p> <p>Hoke County Guard <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1086992" first="Salah" last="Sutton"]</strong>: An unselfish player that is always looking to get his teammates involved first, he is constantly looking to make the right play to set his team up for success. Although he looks to facilitate to teammates first, he is more than capable of creating his own offense and getting the job done.  </p>
