Tyler Ganley Tyler Ganley 6'2" | CG Brecksville-Broadview Heights | 2022 State OH , 6’2 CG Brecksville Broadview Heights 2022: Ganley was one of the top performers from day one, making shots and finding open teammates. Ganley has been a major varsity contributor and his feel and experience is obvious when you watch him. Ganley and Chase Garito Chase Garito 6'8" | C Brecksville-Broadview Heights | 2023 State OH form one of the better lead guard-big combos in Northeast Ohio, as Garito was feasting on the glass today. That pair will be required to do a lot of heavy lifting for the Bees offensively next season, but they have the potential to win a conference and district title.
Colin Nutter Colin Nutter 6'7" | C Old Fort | 2022 State OH , 6’7 C Old Fort 2022: Our first in person viewing of Nutter, the small school product impressed us enough to warrant a top performers selection. Nutter has a great frame at 6’6, 6’7, and isn’t afraid to be physical in the paint. Nutter isn’t very explosive leaping and sometimes gets blocked going up for shots, but Nutter was efficient around the rim. Nutter is a total mismatch for opposing Division IV schools next season and should put up monster numbers during his senior season. Division III schools should be lining up to try and grab Nutter, and it wouldn’t shock us if some scholarship programs took a hard look at him either.
Cole Canter Cole Canter 6'3" | SG Newark Catholic | 2022 State OH , 6’3 SG Newark Catholic 2022: Canter is a two sport stud for the Green Wave, also starring on the gridiron as the quarterback. Canter showed us that he can hoop too, as he started off their game against Sandusky Perkins with 13 points in the first seven minutes of action. Canter shoots a really pretty ball and has limited off the bounce creation for jumpers. Canter drew a ton of attention from the opposing defense and found open teammates because of this. As a football stud as well, Canter is a competitor and an average athlete at least. If Canter decides basketball is his sport of choice after graduation, he should have no problem finding a home.
Jake Morrison Jake Morrison 6'4" | SG Rossford | 2023 State OH , 6’3 SG Rossford 2023: We saw Rossford come back from a near 20 point deficit against Old Fort to win in overtime and Morrison was the biggest reason for this comeback. Morrison is shot ready off screens and can get the ball up to the rim in a hurry. The chemistry between Jake and Ben Morrison Ben Morrison 6'3" | SG Rossford | 2022 State OH is fun to watch as the two of them worked together to come back and get the victory. It’s nice to see Morrison with Rossford as he’s more of a main offensive piece, compared to his spot-up role with the Ohio Buckets.
Ryan Mueller Ryan Mueller 6'7" | PF Gilmour Academy | 2022 State OH , 6’6 PF Gilmour 2022: Mueller showed us some new skills today that we weren’t positive he had the capability of doing. With TNBA , Mueller is more of an energy big guy who rebounds and plays defense. For Gilmour, Mueller is a main scoring option who flashed more ball handling and outside shooting ability. I like the motor Mueller plays at whenever he steps on the floor. Mueller has the chance to help keep Gilmour competitive in Division II, after the Lancers made a surprise elite eight run last season.
Hayden Nahra Hayden Nahra 6'5" | SF Mayfield | 2022 State OH , 6’5 SF Mayfield 2022: Nahra was injured in one of our few viewings of TNBA -Ohio 17U, so this was a great time to see him again. Nahra lived up to our expectations, as the big wing did a little bit of everything against Colonel Crawford. Nahra blocked some shots, got some steals, made some impressive passes, scored around the paint and knocked down some jumpers. Nahra is a solid athlete who is capable of playing either forward position at the next level. Nahra also gets a lot of creation opportunities with Mayfield, showcasing his ability with the ball in his hands. Nahra has the chance to play his way into a scholarship this July and senior season.
Carter Valentine Carter Valentine 6'5" | SF Colonel Crawford | 2022 State OH , 6’5 SF Colonel Crawford 2022: I was excited to see the battle between Nahra and Valentine, and neither player disappointed me. Valentine is a great shooter and can create his own shot from the outside at a high level. When Valentine gets hot, it seems like every shot he throws up goes in. Valentine is one of the most talented players in the state at the Division III level next season and with Mason Studer Mason Studer 5'11" | PG Colonel Crawford | 2022 State OH alongside him, Colonel Crawford should win a lot of games next season. Scholarship programs should be calling sooner rather than later for Valentine as his ceiling is very high.
