Now McDonald is playing both guard spots for the 18-3 Grassroots Sizzle team.
McDonald is considered one of the best passers in recent Minnesota history and if the 11.5 assists a game doesn’t say that enough, maybe the 6.8 to 1 assist to turnover ratio or the 934 career assists versus 186 turnovers gives you an idea of how good of a ball controlled creator Ayden is.
Colleges are certainly interested as McDonald looks to sign with a college as a senior.
“Recruiting wise, I’ve heard from a few different schools,” McDonald told Prep Hoops late last week. “I’m just getting to Grand Forks for the University of North Dakota camp, also going to the Minnesota-Duluth and North Dakota State camp this week.
“I think the schools I’ve heard most from are Bemidji State, Concordia-St. Paul, Augustana, Minnesota-Duluth, and North Dakota State. Auggie and BSU have offered, but (I’m) trying to get in front of the coaches more at camps.
“I visited BSU earlier in the spring when they offered, I plan to get to Augustana at some point to visit also.”
