Lewis Walker Lewis Walker 6'6" | PF Winston-Salem Christian | 2024 State #178 Nation NC | 6’5 Forward
From No. 11 to No. 7
Walker is beginning to draw attention with his ability to affect the game inside and out with a climb into the Top 10 ranks in the 2024 class. He uses his size and frame well to navigate around the rim in the post and can handle the ball and create off the bounce, making him quite the matchup problem offensively. Defensively, he plays physical and plays as an anchor on the defensive end. North Carolina A&T offered him this month.
Drake Powell Drake Powell 6'6" | CG Northwood | 2024 State #8 Nation NC | 6’5 Guard/Wing
From No. 15 to No. 8
Powell is an emerging prospect with nice length and a great awareness on the perimeter to create shots. He’s already gotten his feet wet with Northwood’s varsity program and is a leader in the Team Loaded NC rotation with his ability to knock down shots on the perimeter and use his length to effect the game defensively. He’s a name that’s due to grow in the state as he finds himself in the Top 10 now.
Rakease Passmore Rakease Passmore 6'6" | SF Combine Academy | 2024 State #50 Nation NC | 6’6 Guard/Wing
From No. 50 to No. 10
Passmore is the final prospect in the latest rankings update to find himself in the Top 10. He flew under the radar during the high school season but has since elevated his game as an athletic slasher on the grassroots stage with Next Level Prospects Basketball. He’s another sizeable prospect at 6-foot-6 with a two-way skillset that plays with a ton of energy. He’s a high-level athlete that fills up that stat sheet with his ability to impact the game and play at the rim.
Bryson Cokley Bryson Cokley 6'5" | SG Christ School | 2024 State NC | 6’5 Wing/Forward
From No. 25 to No. 11
Cokley finds himself just outside the Top 10 while having a productive summer with Team CP3 on the grassroots scene. He’s developing after a productive season at United Faith Christian Academy in their run to the state title game. He’s a long, wiry prospect that plays strong while getting to the rim and his shooting ability. He can defend either forward spot as well. He’ll be one to keep an eye on at The Christ School and holds an offer from UC-San Diego.
Jayden Harris Jayden Harris 6'6" | SG Salisbury | 2024 State #220 Nation NC | 6’2 Guard
From No. 51 to No. 22
Harris is another prospect that’s growing in the 2024 class. He’s a prospect with limitless range on the perimeter with quite the ability to create off the bounce and make plays in traffic. He’s been a name in the Team Wall rotation that’s constantly led the way with his ability to score on all three levels and make an impact on the defensive end.
Micah Gilbert Micah Gilbert 6'3" | SG Charlotte Christian | 2024 NC | 6’3 Shooting Guard/Wing
From No. 42 to No. 27
Gilbert is due to make quite the backcourt mate with Bryce Cash Bryce Cash 6'5" | CG Carmel Christian | 2023 State NC at Charlotte Christian and it’s shown a bit already. Gilbert is a big guard prospect at 6-foot-3 with a solid frame to go along with his height. He’s got nice range on the perimeter to go along with a high IQ for making plays for others as well. Look for Gilbert, Cash and Cade Nicholson Cade Nicholson 6'4" | SG Charlotte Christian | 2023 State NC to make some noise this season. On the grassroots stage, he runs with Team Curry.
Kamran Prince Kamran Prince 6'2" | PG Trinity Academy Raleigh | 2025 State NC | 6’0 Guard
From No. 46 to No. 30
Prince is an emerging prospect in the backcourt that’s quite the shooter and defender. He’s a player that plays with a ton of presence on both ends, showing he can be the first to the floor and make winning plays for his teammates. Offensively, he does well to space the floor with his ability to knock down shots on the perimeter. As he continues to develop, he’s a budding name to keep an eye on this class.
Kaedon Porter Kaedon Porter 6'3" | CG Red Springs | 2024 State NC | 6’1 Guard
From No. 89 to No. 57
Porter is a combo guard with a nice feel for when to create for himself and when to control the pace and make plays for others. He’s a knockdown shooter on the perimeter with an ability to get in the paint and finish in traffic off the bounce as well. He’s set to turn a corner as a leader at Red Springs High and worth getting eyes on.
