Continue Reading2024 will be a year to remember in the great state of Idaho when a fine batch of basketball players finally graduate and pursue their individual efforts at the next level. A lot of quality talent can be found in this class already and the next three seasons of prep basketball will truly show who can play, and who got lucky early on in their careers. As we head into the unknown in this class, keep watching to see how the rankings fluctuate until the end of the 2024 season. Jack DeJong Jack DeJong 6'4" | SF Lighthouse Christian | 2024 State ID , Lighthouse Christian: DeJong already has plenty of varsity experience and will quickly fill a larger role for Lighthouse Christian. DeJong is willing to play in the post and can also step back to the three point line and knock down the open shot. Jack is big for his age and uses his height to his advantage on both ends of the floor.
Ahlius Yearout Ahlius Yearout 6'0" | SG Lapwai | 2024 State ID , Lapwai: Ahlius carries the coveted “Yearout” name and will look to continue the legacy at Lapwai. Yearout has been around the winning program for a while and will be no stranger to success when he spends more time on the floor at the varsity level. Keep an eye on Ahlius’ progression in the upcoming seasons.
Riley Petesch Riley Petesch 5'10" | CG Bonners Ferry | 2024 State ID , Bonners Ferry: Riley will look to improve his game this summer to solidify a solid role at Bonners Ferry. Petesch has a very large upside and tons of potential that will be within reach shortly, so long as he spends a lot of time in the gym honing on his craft. Riley will be a major contributor for Bonners Ferry very soon.
Logan Smith Logan Smith 5'9" | PG Shelley | 2024 State ID , Shelley: Shelley had a down year during this past season which allowed a lot of younger players to gain some varsity experience. Smith has the potential to step into a lot of playing time in the near future and his ability to play at a high level already will definitely be in his favor.
Kade Larson Kade Larson 6'0" | CG Kimberly | 2024 State ID , Kimberly: Kimberly had a couple of young players on the roster during this past season and Kade was one of the best young players. His ability to score at will and play tough against any and all opposing teams is sure to help Kimberly achieve success.
