Jessie Mitchell Jessie Mitchell 6'4" | SG Grace Christian (Sanford) | 2022 State NC | Strong Center Hart
From No. 161 to No. 115
Mitchell is one of a few names who doesn’t look done climbing up the 2023 rankings after being a new face following the HS season. He’s done well to show he can knock down shots from anywhere and get buckets when needed using his length at 6-foot-4. He’s a prospect to keep eyes on as he continues to develop.
Cole Callaway Cole Callaway 6'4" | SG Lake Norman | 2023 State NC | Carolina Riptide
From No. 128 to No. 116
Callaway is another prospect that’s climbing up the radar as time progresses. He’s a lights out shooter that’s finding his way getting to the rim as well, developing strength and better instincts with the ball in his hands. He’s a sizeable 6-foot-3 guard with more room to grow as a backcourt presence. He’s due to grow as a prospect this summer as more coaches get eyes on him.
David Tator David Tator 6'1" | CG Panther Creek | 2023 State NC | Flight 22 Elite
From WatchList to No. 118
Tator is an emerging guard prospect that’s filling out strength-wise and it’s in turn shown with his ability to defend and play a physical brand of basketball on both ends of the floor. As he finds his way on the offensive end as either a scoring threat or playmaker, look for him to grow in the 2023 class. He’s been contacted already by Air Force Academy.
Lamonte Cousar Lamonte Cousar 6'6" | SF Scotland | 2023 State NC | Big Shots Premier SC
From No. 169 to No. 121
Cousar is slowly climbing up the ranks in the 2023 class at the wing/forward position. He’s got the ability to play multiple roles on the floor given his length and frame at 6-foot-6. He can defend the paint and create on the perimeter or vice versa, depending on need making him quite the versatile threat on the floor. He’ll be a name to know soon.
Trey Barbee Trey Barbee 6'5" | SG Apex | 2023 State NC | Strong Center Hart
From No. 160 to No. 138
Barbee is a confident scoring guard that’s turned heads in the Strong Center Hart rotation. He’s underrated slasher that can get to the rim and surprise some folks with his athleticism and finish ability. When he isn’t looking to get downhill, he’s even more of a threat finding his shot on the perimeter. He’s a budding name to get to know for teams in need of instant offense and playmaking.
