player_tooltip player_id=”1180816″ first=”Riley” last=”Allenspach”] was a new face in the 2023 ranks this past week at No. 13 and it’s starting to show as he’s earned offers from East Carolina and Appalachian State in the month of June. George Mason is another mid-major program that’s offered him as well. He’s a long and wiry big man that gets after it with his length and physicality on both ends of the floor and his offense is starting to come along as well. Look for his name to grow in the state soon.
Kevon Vanderhorst Kevon Vanderhorst 6'1" | PG Trinity Academy (Raleigh) | 2023 State NC has had a busy month of June with offers coming from St. Peter’s, Florida International, North Carolina A&T and Eastern Kentucky so far. He’s an emerging point guard prospect due to take over the reigns over at Trinity Academy of Raleigh. He’s got nice length and tight handles he uses well to make plays with the ball in his hands. He’ll be one name to watch in the rotation.
Isaiah Washington Isaiah Washington 6'5" | SG Winston-Salem Christian | 2024 State NC has earned his first offers from college programs from North Carolina A&T, Florida International and St. Peter’s. Washington is a 6-foot-5 prospect that gets after it on both ends with his length and athleticism. As more coaches get eyes on him, look for his recruitment to grow.
Jakwon Moore Jakwon Moore 6'5" | SF New Life Christian | 2023 State NC is another name to watch in the Trinity Academy of Raleigh rotation. LSU is the latest high major program to offer the athletic wing prospect. As he continues to show his consistency shooting the basketball, look for his offer list to grow.
James Scott James Scott 6'9" | PF EE Smith | 2023 State NC is a forward prospect that continues to climb up the radar in the 2023 class in the state. He’s a versatile big man that can operate inside and out and so far High Point and North Carolina A&T have taken notice of what he can do. He’s a 6-foot-9 prospect due for a strong summer.
Truman Claytor Truman Claytor 6'6" | SF New Life Christian | 2023 State NC is a name that’s been a bit under the radar with Cape Fear Christian Academy this past season but he’s had a productive summer on the grassroots scene with Team Wall and it’s starting to show with offers from Eastern Kentucky and Florida International. He’s a prospect that’s starting to no longer be a sleeper.
