No. 39 Melian Martinez Melian Martinez 6'11" | C North Florida Education Institute | 2022 State FL | 7’0 Center
Martinez has made waves this grassroots season with Garner Road 3SSB with his size and ability and finds himself in the Top 40 in the 2022 class. He uses his length well to block shots and rebound the ball in bunches on the defensive end and transitions well on offense as a rim-runner and finisher in the paint. As he proves he can be more physical in the paint on the offensive end, look for his name to grow this summer.
No. 44 Jemez Herd Jemez Herd 6'7" | SF Olympic | 2022 State NC | 6’7 Forward/Wing
Herd has turned heads this spring/summer already with Rod Howard Select on the Prep Hoops Live and Big Shots stage. He’s an athletic slasher that likes to get to the rim and finish with authority given his length. He’s a double-double machine in the making given his ability to make his presence felt on both ends. As he learns to make an impact shooting the ball, look for his recruitment to grow.
No. 51 Omari Bolden Omari Bolden 6'3" | CG Quality Education | 2022 State NC | 6’2 Guard
Bolden had an adjustment year this past season at Quality Education Academy and his development is starting to show on the grassroots stage. He’s emerged as a floor spacer on the perimeter while still maintaining his ability to get to the rim and finish in traffic. He’s elevated his game in recent months as a defender as well, digging in and making his presence known with defenders. Look for his name to grow in the 2022 class.
No. 63 Juanse Gorosito Juanse Gorosito 6'2" | PG Denver Prep | 2022 State NC | 6’2 Point Guard
Gorosito is a prospect at Moravian Prep that slowly worked his way into the rotation and since then, he’s shown he has an unselfish knack for shooting the 3-ball and dishing out a number of assists at pace. He’s a native of Argentina and brings that Euro-style flair with him as a high-level ballhandler and pest on the defensive end. Southern Utah, Washington State, San Diego and Pacific have all offered him so far.
No. 70 Rasheed Baldwin Rasheed Baldwin 6'5" | SG Cox Mill | 2022 State NC | 6’5 Shooting Guard
Baldwin has emerged as a sharpshooter to know in the state with the Charlotte Hoyas/Cox Mill in the latest update. He’s got nice length that he uses well to survey the defense on the perimeter and dial it up from behind the arc. His growing confidence has turned heads as has his ability to catch and shoot with efficiency. He’s a shooter to keep an eye on in the state.
