Some prospects are on the verge of breaking out and can use the live period to do so. Here are the 2022 prospects on the verge of a breakout.
Nate Williams Nate Williams 6'4" | SG St. John Vianney | 2022 State NJ , 6’3 SG St. John Vianney
Williams has been a steady presence on the wing for Jersey Force this spring and is ready to continue that in the summer. The 6’3 guard has a smooth release on his jumper and sets his feet before he shoots. Williams moves well off the ball and is an underrated passer. He moves his feet well on the defensive end, allowing him to defend multiple positions on the floor. Williams’ ability to play at both ends of the floor is something that will help his stock during the summer season.
Landon Shivers Landon Shivers 6'8" | PF Life Center Academy | 2022 State NJ , 6’8 PF Life Center Academy
Shivers is playing well for Team Final Black and his stock is on the cusp of shooting up. The 6’8 forward runs the floor hard and knows how to finish above the rim. Shivers is comfortable playing on the perimeter as his range extends past the three-point line. He fights for rebounds on both ends of the floor and uses his length to block shots. Shivers recently picked up an offer from Georgian Court, which should be the first of more to come.
David Luberoff David Luberoff 6'9" | PF Blair Academy | 2023 State NJ , 6’8 PF Midland Park
Luberoff may be flying under the radar, but that should change during the summer AAU season. The 6’8 forward has a nice touch around the basket and is capable of finishing through contact. Luberoff can also step outside and knock down jumpers from behind the arc. He is a good shot-blocker and rips down rebounds on both ends of the floor. Luberoff is a skilled stretch-four who has a chance to breakout during this summer AAU season.
Colin Ackerman Colin Ackerman 6'0" | PG Wall | 2022 State NJ , 6’0 PG Wall
Ackerman runs the show for the Jersey Shore Predators and is ready for a big summer. The 6’0 point guard has a good handle and makes plays when he gets into the lane. Ackerman can finish layups through traffic and has a nice release on his shot. He moves his feet well on the defensive end and plays with quick hands. Ackerman is a gritty lead guard who should see his name receive more attention as the summer rolls on.
Philip Urban Philip Urban 6'6" | SF Pennington | 2022 State NJ , 6’6 SF Pennington
Urban is ready for a big summer season with the NJ Panthers as he shows his full skillset. The 6’6 forward has a strong frame which he uses to draw contact. Urban can get to the basket from the perimeter and knows how to finish above the rim. He uses his athleticism to influence shots on the defensive end and can sky for rebounds. Urban’s potential to make plays on both ends of the floor is something that should benefit his stock throughout the summer.
