Badmus is an old-school big who thrives with his back to the rim. He has an array of moves he used around the block. He is nimble on his feet for his size and was able to swim post moves. Badmus lives for contact and has no fear of banging bodies underneath. You can also run the offense through him in the half-court since he is a capable passer of the block and can find the open shooters who are shot ready. His length comes into factor when is going up to contest shots and collect rebounds.
Aidan Mess 6’7 ‘22 MSJ (MD)/Mid Atlantic Select
Mess is a jack of all trades who can either face you up or play inside. He is driven to make an impact on the game whether it’s rebounding on the interior putting a body on someone or setting a hard screen. Mess showed he could finish with either hand inside the paint. He plays with a great demeanor and toughness about him. He is effective at running the floor or being a trailer. He has a wide base which allows him to hold his ground and not get pushed around. Mess’s best basketball is still ahead of him.
Mark Newell 6’7 ‘22 St. Sebastians (MA)/Prodigy
Newell is a versatile post player who can make an impact on the game in a plethora of ways. He has no issue running the floor and has nice touch around the rim. Newell plays off of two feet and has solid bursts of athleticism. Newell can operate in many different ways on the offensive end, out of the mid-post, blocks, or even from behind the arc. He has adequate size and length for his position and a college-ready frame.
Matt Prociak 6’6 ‘22 Holy Redeemer (PA)/NEPA Elite
Prociak brings a lunch pail mentality whenever he steps on the floor. He has no issue doing tasks that won’t show up in the scorebook like boxing out, being the screener. He can cause mismatch issues with his ability to convert short porch areas on the court like Mid ranges while running the triangle or deep twos. Prociak likes to battle on the interior and found a way to convert on 2nd chance points.
Ryan Zan 6’7 ‘22 Ranney (NJ)/East Coast Cyclones
Zan the swiss-army knife showed that he is effective on both ends of the floor. He can guard on the perimeter and is also able to battle with bigger 4/5 men. He shows good timing and was able to get his hands on a few shots. Zan is able to create off the bounce going downhill and can also score off the blocks. He is a sneaky athlete who has no issue finishing above the rim. Coaches at the next level who are looking for a mismatch forward should definitely track Zan.
