Pittsburgh was the center of the Prep Basketball universe last weekend.  More than 4,000 players passed through the David Lawrence Convention Center.  Thousands more showed up to enjoy watching some of the most highly recruited players in the country.  For many WPIAL players and fans, the Hoop Group Pitt Jamfest is the highlight of the entire year! The top programs from our region participated: Wildcat Select, Team Wildcat, PK Flash, and Caveman Basketball all had multiple teams entered in the various divisions. This was the chance for the hometown players to impress the multitude of coaches and scouts canvasing the Convention Center’s main hall.  In this article, we will list a few standout WPIAL players who took full advantage of the opportunity and subsequently received offers, or heavy interest, following outstanding performances at the Jamfest.
