6’3 G McCaden Adams McCaden Adams 6'3" | CG Pleasant Grove | 2022 State UT | Salt Lake Rebels | Pleasant Grove High School | 2022 |
McCaden quietly had a himself a great junior season. He scored, rebounded and defended. McCaden has an opportunity to really make an impression on college recruiters as he has a lot of translatable skills. He keeps it simple when he is going to the basket and he has a patient game. He has a long reach that really makes him look and play bigger than he is. He is not a player that is going to overwhelm you from the outside but he is a threat. The way he can find ways to score and create for himself is impressive. Keep an eye on him as he is having himself an impressive, yet quiet Spring, but he is a hidden gem in the Class of 2022.
6’6 G McCoy Langston McCoy Langston 6'6" | CG Copper Hills | 2022 State UT | Utah Premier | Copper Hills High School | 2022 |
One of the most impressive aspects of his game is the fact that he can run the PG position but also be effective at the other positions as off-guard or wing. McCoy could be deadly from deep and he isn’t just a catch and shoot threat, he can make buckets off the bounce as well. McCoy is crafty with the ball and he utilizes some nice spins to get free in the lane. Pesky on both ends of the floor as he is just a tough cover.
6’2 G Kaden Cox Kaden Cox 6'0" | SG Ridgeline | 2022 State UT | Ridgeline | Ridgeline High School | 2022 |
Kaden was a little bit off the radar for a moment because he was coming off of an injury last season but he rebounded well. He started to pick it up in the 2nd half of the year. Kaden has become a player that was an outside shooting threat only to a complete player that can really run the PG position and he can also shoot the ball really well. This Spring he is showing quickness off the bounce and he is shooting the ball off of a quick release as well. Kaden is a major hidden gem that can absolutely shoot lights out.
6’5 W Tyler Newbold Tyler Newbold 6'5" | CG Bingham | 2022 State UT | Utah Premier | Bingham High School | 2022 |
Tyler was limited in minutes last season but he is a player that could be a hidden gem because he is a legit 3 at the next level. He enjoys that post game but he can compete in the perimeter as well. Tyler is a junkyard dog type of player that will defend and play with a great motor. He is out there rebounding, diving on the floor and trying to get every rebound. Starting to let it fly from deep with more confidence. Tyler could end up at a NJCAA school but would be a huge get for a NWAC school. He is a hidden gem in that 2022 class.
6’4 SG Tyler Burraston Tyler Burraston 6'4" | SG Corner Canyon | 2022 State UT | Salt Lake Rebels | Corner Canyon High School | 2022 |
Tyler is a must watch player that will finally get some major minutes on the floor for his high school team. In the meantime, you have to watch this kid shoot the ball, he can really make it fly. I like that he can pull from various spots on the floor. He can hit it from deep and off the bounce. He is a hidden gem that has been making a splash this Spring.
