Charlie Dortch Charlie Dortch 6'7" | PF L'anse Creuse North | 2023 State CO : Rocky Mountain Fever
The 6’7, Charlie Dortch Charlie Dortch 6'7" | PF L'anse Creuse North | 2023 State CO , big man made his presence inside felt all weekend! Charlie is a back to the basket big man who uses great footwork and size to get his way against opposing teams. This weekend there where a few matchups who I thought would be able to slow him down but Charlie stepped up to the competition and went at them hard! Charlie moves very well off of the ball and does a great job of getting post position down low. The ceiling for Charlie is very high and when he plays with confidence he is very hard to stop.
Tyler Casey Tyler Casey 5'11" | PG Columbine | 2023 State CO : Colorado Miners
Tyler Casey Tyler Casey 5'11" | PG Columbine | 2023 State CO was a lead guard who teams had a hard time guarding. Tyler is a player who can score on all three levels, he finishes very well at the rim through contact, has a nice floater, and can shoot the ball from deep. Running the floor Tyler is very crafty and has very good handles which allow him to get around defenders. When at the rim Tyler has a creative mix of hop and euro steps he goes to to finish layups. While he was scoring a lot, Tyler also has some good passing abilities, after the team sees him as a scoring threat they collapse the paint making for easy kick outs to open teammates. Tyler showed out this past weekend and will be a player on our radar!
Aidan Peck Aidan Peck 6'7" | SG Rock Canyon | 2023 State CO : Colorado Collective
Aidan Peck Aidan Peck 6'7" | SG Rock Canyon | 2023 State CO is a player having a breakout AAU season! Aidan has great height for a wing standing at a lengthy 6’6. Aidan led his Colorado Collective team to an undefeated weekend and teams had trouble finding a match up for him. Aidan can score from the inside with ease over smaller defenders but can also step out and hit the three point shot. He also has a good handle on the ball which allows him to drive past defenders his size as he has better quickness then most 6’6 players his age. Aidan is a true 6’6 wing with a very high ceiling, one of the highest in his class!
Silas McCurnin Silas McCurnin 6'2" | PG Poudre | 2023 State CO : Rocky Mountain Fever
Silas McCurnin Silas McCurnin 6'2" | PG Poudre | 2023 State CO may just be one of the best shooters in the state. Silas has one of the quickest releases I have seen in a while as he puts the ball into his shooting pocket very quickly and is always ready to shoot. Silas is a combo guard who plays both spots very well. Standing at 6’1, he has good vision of the court and is good at finding open teammates. Then from the shooting guard spot, Silas has a knack for finding open spots on three point line. While Silas did most of his damage from behind the three point arc, he also was able to get inside a few times with jump stop floaters and creative layups at the rim. As Silas gets more comfortable driving inside he will a huge match up problem for teams and he is already a matchup problem with his three point shooting ability alone.
