Here’s a list of shooters that stuck out the most over the past weekend.
Garrett Redwine Garrett Redwine 6'1" | CG Tuttle | 2023 State OK , OK Wolfpack (2023):
Redwine happens to play on a team full of above-average to elite shooters. While he only hit two threes in the Wolfpack’s 16U championship game, he helped fuel a run late in the game in a losing effort. Redwine also shot well throughout the entire tournament.
Orie Walker Orie Walker 6'3" | SG Heritage Hall | 2023 OK , OK Wolfpack (2023):
Walker serves as Wolfpack’s No. 1 shooting option, and he played like it on Sunday. In the tournament semifinals, Walker netted three triples. In the championship game, he hit two. He shot 5-for-7 from three in the championship bracket, and I can’t help but think he’s an asset for his high school team as well. With more shots, Walker could be a real threat over the next couple of years.
Hudson Linsenmeyer, OK Energy (2023):
I had a tough time deciding whether or not Linsenmeyer would be on my list for top players in the entire tournament or top shooters, but he’s honestly deserving of both. However, I couldn’t leave him out of this list because of his superb ability to shoot the ball from deep. On championship Sunday, in a losing effort, Hudson netted three triples on 3-of-3 shooting in the first half to position Energy to win the game. If it weren’t for a second-half run by Buddy Buckets, Linsenmeyer would have led his team to a massive upset.
Parker Hardage, Tulsa Hawks (2023):
At 6-foot-6, you wouldn’t expect Hardage to be on this list, especially considering his age. On Saturday, 12 of his 17 threes came from beyond the arc, and he served as the Hawk’s most versatile scorer, with buckets from all over the court. Claremore has a talented stretch-big for the next couple of years to come.
