There is a lot of basketball going on from club ball, individual leagues like Pangos and playing games with their high school teams. Players and teams a like have all the opportunities to get better. Here are a list of teams that have made an impression and some of their top players.
Davis High School
Davis has a lot of pieces coming back and the two that seem to be making the most noise and getting the most attention are Henry Ihrig and Rex Sunderland Rex Sunderland 6'4" | PG Davis | 2022 State UT . With virtually everyone coming back Davis looks really seasoned and they just move the ball and pass up good shots for better shots. They will be in the conversation all of next year and rightfully so. Davis shoots the ball well and they spread everyone out.
Corner Canyon High School
While most people might think that the chargers are going to be down, you might want to reconsider that thought. They will be young but they have some gritty players and they will be running more open type sets like 5 out as they will be quicker and smaller. They will have a cast of shooters in Brody Kozlowski Brody Kozlowski 6'8" | SF Corner Canyon | 2024 State #103 Nation UT and Tyler Burraston Tyler Burraston 6'4" | SG Corner Canyon | 2022 State UT . Then you add a seasoned junior in Max Toombs Max Toombs 6'3" | CG Corner Canyon | 2023 State UT who will run the PG position. Don’t sleep on the Chargers, they will be a tough cover.
Bingham High School
Bingham brings back an interesting group. They will have some size down low with Devin Carlson Devin Carlson 6'8" | SF Bingham | 2022 State UT and they have a pair of wings in Kam Dupaix Kam Dupaix 6'5" | CG Bingham | 2022 State UT and Tyler Newbold Tyler Newbold 6'5" | CG Bingham | 2022 State UT who can both play 3-4 positions. With a few shooters on the wings and a new up-tempo PG in Ace Reiser Ace Reiser 6'0" | PG Alta | 2024 State UT who will be running things they could be one of the top teams coming into the season. They always have some nice pieces coming off the bench as well.
Pleasant Grove High School
PG lost some pieces that gave them their identity this off-season. They will depend on a few players to get them a deep playoff run. They will be lead by Jordan Ross Jordan Ross 6'3" | PG Link Academy | 2023 #132 Nation MO and McCaden Adams McCaden Adams 6'3" | CG Pleasant Grove | 2022 State UT as they will be a duo that could really score. With some lack of size they will likely play more up-tempo and they will push and get to the rim. Keep an eye on Michael Mitton Michael Mitton 6'3" | CG Pleasant Grove | 2023 State UT who will hopefully be back and healthy this season.
Westlake High School
Westlake lost the most players that contributed out of every team that we have mentioned but with the addition of Dylan Jones Dylan Jones 6'6" | SG Westlake | 2022 State UT , Westlake will have a shooter that could knock them down while they have a lot of role players that can get in the lane and draw two and quick it out for some open looks. We will say one thing about Westlake is that they are tough and will play physical and we do not think that will change.
