2022 guard Jameel Brown Jameel Brown 6'4" | SG Westtown School | 2022 State #130 Nation PA of Team Final was one of the top combo guards this past weekend at the Southern Jam Fest and showed why he is one of the top available guards in the class of 2022. Brown, who is 6’4, can play on or off the ball, was a key member for Team Final in helping them win the 17U championship this past weekend. A one time Purdue commit, Brown has been one of the lead contributors for Team Final in helping them become the number one AAU team in the country.

“The spring has been really good. I just announced that I will be transferring to Westtown so I feel like that is definitely going to help me a lot with my recruitment and I have just been enjoying playing with my Team Final guys. We have a big summer ahead of us.

Brown talked about his move to Westtown with us.

“I just want to continue to get better and I think this move will help me with that. A lot of pros have come out of that program like Cam Reddish and Mo Bamba so it will be great for me and I will get to play with my guy Dereck Lively.”

Since reopening his recruitment there have been four schools staying in constant contact with Brown.

Virginia, Notre Dame, Minnesota and Penn State are talking to me the most right now.

One of the first schools that reached out to him when he de-committed was Virginia.

“I really like Virginia. They contacted me right after I de-committed from Purdue. I have been talking to Coach Vandross and Coach Bennett and have had a zoom meeting with them. I really like how they play their combo guard.”

One of his friends, Elijah Taylor, just finished his first year at Notre Dame and Brown has been able to learn a lot about the Irish from Taylor.

“I really like Notre Dame. My friend Elijah Taylor goes there. I have a good bond with him so he has been telling me a lot about the program. I have a good relationship with the coaching staff as well.”

Starting in June, prospects will be able to visit schools and Brown knows of four visits he would like to take.

“I don’t have any visits lined up yet but I want to take visits to Notre Dame, Virginia, Penn State and Minnesota.”
