The small-town schools get overlooked a lot even though they always have really talented players. Here are a few small-town players to watch out for.
Morgan Anderson https://www.hudl.com/profile/13972821/Morgan-Anderson
Anderson is a 6’2 Sophomore Guard from Raymond high school, who is having a great season with 22.8 points per game. Anderson had a season-high this week of 42 points and helped lead his team to a victory. Scoring 42 points in a game is very impressive, but to do it as only a sophomore shows what level he can play at, at such a young age. To add to his 42 point game, Anderson also grabbed 8 rebounds. As he develops over the next few years, he will be someone to keep your eye on. He will need to work on protecting the ball, but he has so much time to grow. He is a player who scores most of his points inside the 3 point line but has no problem shooting the 3.
Asjon Anderson Asjon Anderson 6'0" | PG Mt. Tahoma | 2022 State WAAnderson is a 6’0 Junior Guard from Mount Tahoma High School, who is scoring 29.4 on the season and adding 4 steals per game. Anderson has a season-high for 44 points and shot 9 of 10 from the 3 point line. He is a young player who uses his athletic ability so well and has an easy time getting to his spot. As much as this guy loves to score, he plays on the defensive side so well. With a season-high of 6 steals, he is all over the court all the time. As a coach or teammate, this is someone you want on your team because he understands the game. He will come out next year with a strong Senior season.
Jeremiah Sibley Jeremiah Sibley 6'0" | PG University | 2022 WA https://www.hudl.com/profile/12174759/Jeremiah-Sibley
Sibley is a 6’0 Junior Guard from University High School who is scoring 25.2 points per game with multiple double double games. With a season-high of 27 points and 12 rebounds, Anderson is the definition of a hustle player. A point guard who can not only score but gets you double-digit rebounds is always a great thing. He has a nice jump shot with a quick release and is not afraid to shoot it. You can tell Sibley is someone who spent the long off-season working on his shot so he can be ready for the big moments.
Kainoa Kanahele
Kanahele is a 6’5 Junior Small Forward, whose averaging a double-double on this season with 19.8 points and 12.5 rebounds. Kanahele is not only a great scorer but provided so much rim protection. He has a season-high of 6 steals and 5 blocks, and that was done in the same game. We all know defense requires so much effort, and he gives exactly that every single play. His teammates can count of him for help defense, and he will be right there. He is such a well-rounded player. This is another young man I see having a solid senior season next year.
