Hunter Thiel – Crusaders Select Maulick – 16U
Thiel plays the fundamental side of the game beautifully. In one of the most well-rounded performances this weekend, Thiel provided complimentary-style offense, making himself a target for post feeds and breaking down the defense with tough moves through contact. For that hour, he was a stalwart down low. Not only did he send back shots and disrupt every look, but he rotated super quickly. He made it hard for any shot to get off around the rim.

– Wisconsin Playground Club – 15U
Johnson has made remarkable strides since last summer, and his current product is one of the best in the state. The 5’9” point guard has an unteachable instinct for passing. As he navigates around screens and in transition, he can zip passes to teammates and create looks out of an otherwise stagnant offense. His speed jumped out at me above everything. He covers 94 feet in a hurry, and in the halfcourt, he can run circles around defenses that can’t rotate.

– KL/Power 5 – 15U
Lomack hasn’t played much recently due to cancellations last season, but he brought out his physicality in today’s action. The 6’4” wing spent a lot of time on the block, fighting for finishes and drawing contact. As for perimeter play, his natural talent with the ball in his hands continued to stand out. He can create mismatches by isolating on slower forwards, which is a big reason why he’s a highly touted player.
Tre Holmes – PM North Showcase – 17U
A score-first, positionless player that can adjust anywhere on the position spectrum from the 2-3. Stood out with his unique scoring style. He’ll work around ball screens and trace the arc seeking outside looks, but he isn’t limited to catch and shoot, as he showed his pull-up prowess throughout the night.

– Team Haliburton – 16U
Cook is an exciting young guard with his athleticism and recent improvements. He managed to stand out on a team of similar level athletes and prospects due to his attacking prowess. When he wants to, he can bully defenders and infiltrate the defense with ease. Showed he can finish at a high percentage, too. He capitalized at the rim, and with an efficiency that coaches should appreciate.
Matas Buzelis – Full Package – 16U
One of the most impressive players this whole weekend. The Brewster Academy guard looked the part of a college prospect, offering serious length, height, and ball skills. He opened the game playing like a center, camping on the block and racking up offensive boards. After the game progressed, he flashed a refined isolation skillset. He began attacking, stunning the defense with sharp, tight crossovers and a guard-like playstyle. A guy that has the capacity to get much better, too.
Alex Trotter – Pride Roc Selkridge – 15U
Trotter led his roster to an exciting win this morning, and he did it with a persistent driving game. He’s a stocky guard but has noticeable bulk and explosiveness. When he drove, he went in without fear. Against a team with two centers on the floor at all times, he still found the crease and snuck through. It helped that he could make circus finishes, too. Trotter put spin on his layups, making fancy up-and-under shots.
