Goff-Brown is anticipated to make an immediate impact for Oklahoma Chaos, potentially by adding his sharpshooting and facilitating talents to its core group. After scoring 18 points in his first game Friday night, it’s evident that has great utility for the scrappy squad.
Goff-Brown, who joins the team after a strong junior season at Tulsa Central, can effectively endure the press in the full-court, adding a spark of his disciplined style to the athletic, gun-and-go style of Chaos’s current back-court. He has also frequently displayed his confidence
The senior from Tulsa already touts multiple mid-major offers, which could also draw some attention to his talented, perhaps neglected teammates.
Michal Wooldridge Michal Wooldridge 6'8" | C Bethany | 2022 State OK | Tulsa Hawks |
6’6” C | Bethany ’22 |
The multi-talented post-shooter extraordinaire enters the weekend following an excellent showcase of talent in Oklahoma City a couple weeks ago.
A strong, cerebral post, Wooldridge, when he plays with confidence, soars to outsmart and outplay his competition. He often stretches defenses with his outside and mid-range shot, a craft which he has worked hard to improve over the years. From there, it’s his heady, reactionary offensive play in the paint that causes complications for opposing front-courts.
Perhaps most obscurely, but certainly not without its value, is Wooldridge’s sneaky athleticism, which he posted on full display in Oklahoma City. Provided a fortuitous rebound or a bit of self-manufactured space, the burly Broncho can elevate to put ill-fated defenders on the wrong side of a Twitter video.
Killian Spellman Killian Spellman 6'3" | PF Memorial | 2022 State TX | Tulsa Hawks |
6’4” F | Tulsa Memorial ’22 |
Spellman adds an advantageous presence to the Hawks lineup, of which he showed signs in Oklahoma City a couple weeks ago.
The speedy, high motor forward has lot more to him than meets the eye, including unlikely ball skills, tremendous acceleration in transition and sharp dexterity when finishing at the rim. Defensively, his obvious advantage is his physicality, but he certainly doesn’t lack skill. He protects the rim with efficiency, strays from cheap fouls and rebounds at a high rate.
Garrett Goodwin | Oklahoma Chaos |
6’0″ SG | Norman North ’22 |
One of Chaos’s unsung heroes, Goodwin handles a lot of the dirty work for the squad as its primary three-and-D specialist. He fulfilled his role Friday night in a solid performance against a quick Kansas Hoggs team. He opened the game with a steal-turned-assist in transition and later hit a pair of triples. As he improves his shot — hopefully, from good to great to unstoppable — Goodwin could consistently be a double-digit performer for Chaos. This weekend, the goal will be to tap into those talents within his role and provide his team with a few spare triples-a-game.
