Guard play is key in AAU basketball as guards are the ones who run the offense. The NJ Jam Fest was filled with good guard play, making for an exciting day of basketball. Here are the top guards from the opening day of the NJ Jam Fest.

Connor was simply unstoppable in both games as defenders could not stay in front of him. The 6’0 guard has a tight handle and is a crafty finisher around the basket. Connor plays with his head up in the half court and can make opponents pay for giving him space on the perimeter. He plays with great anticipation on the defensive end and knows how to pick his opponents pockets. Connor’s ability to make plays on both ends of the floor is something that cannot be overlooked as he continues to do it on a nightly basis.
