Savon Myers Savon Myers 6'5" | SF Covenant College Prep | 2023 State NJ , 6’5 SF Jersey Force Select 17U
Myers had a tremendous weekend as he showed off his entire skillset. The 6’5 wing has a strong frame which he used to draw contact around the basket. Myers made several beautiful passes throughout the weekend, including a couple of beautiful outlet passes which led to layups. He swatted several shots around the rim and ripped down rebounds on both ends of the floor. Myers’ stock is rising after this weekend and it should continue to go up with more performances like that.
Kamal Lee, 6’0 PG NJ Bulldogs 16U
Lee had a strong showing over the weekend as he was making plays on both ends of the floor. The 6’0 guard has a tight handle and is able to break his defender down off the bounce. Lee is more than just a driver as he shot the ball with confidence from distance and has a good release on his jumper. He plays tough on-ball defense as he got numerous deflections and steals over the course of the weekend. Lee is a gritty, two-way guard who should see his stock rise if he continues to play like that.
Alex Konov Alex Konov 6'7" | PF Manasquan | 2024 State NJ , 6’7 SF/PF Team Rio University 15U
Konov had a good weekend as he was able to display his offensive game. The 6’7 forward is comfortable playing on the perimeter and his range extends past the three-point line. Konov can also put the ball on the floor and finish around the basket. He is an underrated passer and fights for rebounds on both ends. Konov’s ability to stretch the floor is something that will help his game in the long run as the AAU season rolls on.
Luke Braaten Luke Braaten 6'7" | PF Brick Memorial | 2022 State NJ , 6’7 PF Jersey Force Select 17U
Myers was not the only forward who had a standout weekend for the Jersey Force Select team as Braaten also had a strong weekend. The 6’7 forward was a force on the glass as he kept possession alive for his team throughout the weekend. Braaten played solid post defense as well as he stood his ground and altered shots around the basket. He has a nice touch around the basket and has great hands. Braaten is on the cusp of breaking out and more performances like he had over the weekend would raise his stock in a big way.
Jayden Reid Jayden Reid 5'10" | PG LuHi | 2023 State #119 Nation NY , 5’10 PG PSA Cardinals 16U
Backcourt mate Jayden Lemond Jayden Lemond 6'3" | PG Blair Academy | 2023 State #183 Nation NJ was also making plays this weekend as the PSA Cardinals Jayden tandem controlled the tempo. Reid has a tight handle and can finish in a variety of ways around the rim. The 5’10 guard made good decisions with the ball in his hands and plays with his head up. Reid is a tenacious on-ball defender as he was constantly picking his opponents pockets for easy layups on the other end.
