Calvin Little Jr, 6’2 PG Saint Ignatius 2024 All Ohio Red 15U
Little is a special PG prospect, he just moves differently than other guards his age. Little does a little stutter step before exploding into a move often that leaves defenders in the dust. Little has excellent vision and throws his passes with a lot of velocity. Little will be one of the most highly sought after players in the 2024 class when it’s all said and done.
Tyler McKinley, 6’8 C Walnut Hills 2024 All Ohio Red 15U
McKinley went to work in the paint for All Ohio Red to help lead them to the platinum championship at this event. As one of the bigger players in the class, McKinley is a force on the interior. I like the way McKinley gets up and down the court before opposing bigs and he looks to make the right pass when catching the ball in the mid-range area. McKinley is another one of Ohio’s top 2024 prospects.
Raleigh Burgess, 6’8 C Sycamore 2024 Shining Star Price 15U
Burgess is another one of the biggest players in his class as he’s a match-up nightmare for opposing 15 U squads. I was impressed with Burgess skill with the ball in his hands, looking capable of knocking down a mid-range jumper and putting it on the floor. With any young big, there is still a lot of development to be made, but Burgess is well on his way to becoming an elite post prospect in Ohio’s 2024 class.
Jay Reynolds, 6’2 SG Talawanda 2024 Shining Star Price
Reynolds made a lot of shots from the outside in the one game I caught of him from this weekend. A natural scorer of the basketball, Reynolds showed off his self-creation skills throughout the contest. Reynolds has long arms and flashed some potential defensive upside as well. Another name to monitor in the 2024 class in the greater Cincinnati area.
Talan Noyes, 5’9 PG Moeller 2024 Midwest Basketball Club 15 U
Noyes is one tough kid on the court, he always is trying to get his hands on loose balls and strip ball-handlers defensively. Noyes is a quick PG who looks to score from the outside often. I hope he hits a growth spurt to get closer to where Aidan ended up, because if he does, watch out for Talan with Moeller in the next couple seasons.
Aj McBride, 6’5 SF Moeller 2024 Midwest Basketball Club 15 U
McBride showed off some very intriguing tools in the one game I caught of his team over the weekend. Looks the part as a run and jump athlete but also hit three or four 3-pointers off the catch as well. McBride still has a ways to go with the handle and overall feel for the game, but the upside is through the roof. I’d be surprised if he made a big impact for Moeller next season, but his Junior and Senior seasons he could develop into the next star to come out of Moeller.
